[Nekoinu]

"I did not find any in life. Perhaps there is one nearby. As for what I am, I am a spirit. I maintained my individuality after death. I did not leave this place because I sought to guide any fellow nomads on their journey."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"And what guidance do you have to offer? I am willing to listen." He replied with a deferential nod.

[Nekoinu]

"You must always be willing to negotiate, young man. Your greatest enemy may become your greatest ally if you allow them to speak."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "I see. Tell me more then that we may be friends."

[Nekoinu]

"An ally can teach from their experiences. An enemy does no such thing. If you wish to look at it from a mere pragmatic approach, you learn more from collaboration, young man."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nods, "But what of deception? Those who pretend to be allies but instead are enemies? My world is rife with those who offer empty promises."

[Nekoinu]

"Then you must be vigilant of them. Perhaps you may prove yourself worthy of their honesty through opening yourself up. But again, be wary of them."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"How does one 'open up' without exposing themselves to danger...? In dealing with Sith, such things are equal to death."

[Nekoinu]

"Ah the Sith. A difficult philosophy to make amends with, for obvious reasons. In that case, perhaps it may be better to strike them down. It is a sacrifice, assuredly, but you may then return to more scholarly pursuits."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain nodded, "There are times when violence is the only answer to restore order; when one must burn the trees to clear way for new growth."

He tilted his head, "Why is it that you populate this place? Does it hold some significance for you?"

[Nekoinu]

"Exactly. I was never a great warrior myself but I understood the necessity of it."

The mentor looked back to the rubble. "My body is buried there," he explained, "This is where my studies ended."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"What were you studying in a place like this?" He asked.

[Nekoinu]

"I was searching through the Y'Toub system for a nexus in the Force. Perhaps one exists, perhaps one does not. The only way to know is to search for it."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"What is a 'nexus in the force'? And can you teach one how to look for it as you did?" He asked.

[Nekoinu]

"Another term for vergence, simply put. As for finding them, it is many parts routine and honestly luck. If it were a simple process, we would have discovered them all in little time," he explained with a smile.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I'm sure you would. What else can you tell me of your 'routine' and possibly your other ways? Your philosophy is of interest to me..."

[Nekoinu]

"We travel across the galaxy and meditate, hoping to find guidance to our next destination. As for our ways, we are adept negotiators. We rival the Jedi in this matter, perhaps overcome them, if not due to our focus in it."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "I have need of such talents... I am one of the chief negotiators for the Sith Empire at the current peace talks with the Republic."

He looked to the spirit, "I do not believe in coincidence. Things happen for reasons; guided by the force. I believe I was meant to find you, and that you were meant to linger for this moment. I ask that you allow me to continue your work. I ask for your tutelage... as much as you are willing to offer. The Empire values utility, and I foresee great possibilities for your philosophy; great utility. If you would guide me, I feel I could draw closer to a true understanding of the Force, and with that understanding I could do much good."

[Nekoinu]

The mentor shook his head gently. "I do not harbor the same feelings. Perhaps you are correct in that the Force has led us together. However, I cannot say with certainty that that is the case.

" To disagree on matters is not inherently bad. As a member of this Sith Empire you speak of, I imagine we will disagree again. You too may find fault in my teachings. Only time will tell. I can only hope that this will lead to our mutual goal of bettering the galaxy. "

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I do not mean to devote myself completely to you and your teachings, but your knowledge can be of use with someone like me... or it an all you were can continue to be of no purpose to anyone for generations more to come." He offered.

"Provide me with your knowledge and I can carry your legacy on to the future."

[Nekoinu]

"My legacy is not what is important. Knowledge is, young man." He smiled. "My time here is not purposeless. After all, I was stumbled upon eventually."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Your knowledge is your legacy. Knowledge is only power if put to use. It is what can bring about your desires for the galaxy... even if only in the tiniest of parts. Do not hoard your knowledge like some short-sighted Sith. Share it with me so I may help others." He said with a humble bow.

[Nekoinu]

"Ah. I am surprised you are so worried that I would turn you away as a disciple. Is there a reason you would expect me to, young man?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"There are many reasons not to share knowledge and many reasons not to trust a young man of the Sith Empire who ends up at your grave asking for favors. I have a master who hoards his secrets tightly... I would prefer a relationship where that is not the case. I seek for the opportunity to continue to learn and grow even if my own master seeks to stunt that growth; a way to show the utility and efficacy of my beliefs. Any knowledge or tools you have that can assist in that endeavor would help me continue to make my point. Perhaps my earnestness in my plea is evidence of the commitment I have to this quest. Did you by chance leave any tools before you left to your grave that would help guide my path to greater power and knowledge?" He replied.

[Nekoinu]

"Paranoia is a common trait among Sith, so I am told. You yourself explained that to be open is to open death." He glanced back to his resting place and then back to Sylvain. "Perhaps my body's remains will possess something of use for you, be it tools or records. Even with my presence, the written word may still be useful."
