Uptown girl? (Day 8 Late Afternoon)

It was a lead in a ship Z was following. A lead on a ship who had a ship more precisely, walking through the streets of uptown he kept his eyes open. Somewhere around here should be the droid he was looking for.

It wouldn't be overly difficult to find the little fighter-type droid, as HX would whip around a nearby corner, spinning about, to avoid a low hanging sign near one of the buildings, as the droid's modulator would sound off with the high pitched and annoyed voice. HX was not a protocol droid, and not designed with any gender specific information, making a clearly robotic and androgynous cry of anger. "Those things are dangerous! Who requires a cantina in this district?!" The little droid would spin back towards the middle of the path, moving to buzz right on past the man who was apparently hunting it.

Yup that was definitely a lady. As the odd droid moved to zoom past, he raised his hand in a effort to get its attention.

"Excuse me, do you have a moment?"

[HX-S4]

The droid passed and whipped around in the air, as it saw it was signaled down, quickly sliding about to face the man. "I have a great deal more moments available to me than any organic. Even if my processors whirl down, all things are replaceable with time. However, being an elite subject of synthetic existence, one typically is charged for any encounter. Shall I begin running you a tab?"

"Depends upon what your charging, I usually only pay for time in whiskey and cigarettes."
He reached into his pocket to retrieve a pack of smokes.

"I'm Z by the way, I believe you're HX-S4?"

HX's movements would stall a bit for processing before resuming to float about the man, a bit more carefully than before. "I am HX-S4. I do not recognize you, and those methods of payment are insufficient. Are you one of the romantic conspirators I foiled? Or perhaps one of the interlopers in the spaceport. I warn you, that when I am not restricted to such mundane methods of data collection, I am a superior marksman than any organic. Tread carefully if you wish to seek vengeance upon me."

"Hrm? No, I'm none if those, and I'm not really interested in shooting you either. No, I'm more a friend of a friend. I heard you might be someone I need to talk to about a job I have coming up."

He popped a cigarette in his mouth and lit it as he waited for the robot girls answer.

"You require efficient removal of a variety of assets and or targets? This is the work I excel at. Regardless, I expect credits, a great deal of credits! If you can provide this, and you are not betraying my interests, we can consider an agreement."

"And here I thought you might be willing to help for the sake of all the lives you would save." He looked the bot over. "How many credits were you thinking about? Seems you have a need for them."

[HX-S4]

"That depends on the nature of the mission." The droid would seem to calm down somewhat now that proper business was being discussed, floating at about chest level to Z. "If a great deal of time or danger is concerned, a greater amount of credits is needed. Where organics require food, drink, and such which can be purchased for minimal rates, Droids have a much higher cost of living, especially in my field of work. Everything about my frame must remain within the SOTA, if I am too damaged to manage self-repair, that can also be extremely costly."

"Well the nature of the business isn't the type that can be discussed in the middle of the street." He replied with a smirk.

"Suffice to say, it can be dangerous or not depending upon how much danger you are willing to take on and for what price." Honestly be needed her ship more then her.

"Then we can discuss the details in private. I am capable of virtually any task with my superior programming."

"If you weren't I wouldn't be here." He offered with a easy smile. "Lead the way then." He offered to the droid. Certainly it knew somewhere for private conversations in these parts.
