[Day 8 - EA] Three's Company

Tracking down Shade was not hard, if she was hiding she was not making much of a show of it as she was working a bodyguard detail for a celebrity… Jin Vaya while she enjoys some time away from the moon and away from the fans.

Next to the blue twi’lek armored mercenary was an even larger yellow twi’lek woman built like a rancor with a variety of tattoos where her skin was exposed. Both were watching were for threats while Jin took in some sun before the evening ended here on Makeb.

OOC: This is a combat thread for a bounty. This thread can be avoided if the players decide not to engage. That is all the warning I will give. If Stealth is tried the roll is Daunting with two upgraded dice. Joining is not compulsory obviously.

Shaisha takes point in leading the group, being the most experienced of the four in terms of infiltration and stealth, with Vec backing her up in the rearguard and Kristal being able to read Shaisha's signals from their years of experience together.

As she leads them up to position, the Force works in their favour.... (Flipping Destiny to notice something important in the scene)

Shade and her partner are well armed, Shade is wearing some form of customized Mandalorian armor, while her Partner is wearing heavily padded clothing and her eyes are cybernetic. They are by a pool and there are not many guests about. There is a luxury speeder parked nearby.

OOC: The team can get within Medium range of Shade and her partner as they stand guard over Jin Vaya. They can try to get with Short range but this adds two setback to the check same difficulty as before.

The crew gets within the close range of the target when Jin sits up and says, “Oh… is that Vince! Hey Vince!” She waves at Vec with a smile.

Shade frowns and says, “This is a private facility, you have five seconds to vacate the premises.”

Jin looks at her guards and then shrugs before rolling over.

OOC: They are at Short range now but they are spotted. Threat used to identify Vec.

Well, shit. Vec thought to himself when he managed to stick out like a sore thumb apparently. Who would have thought that he had some semblance of fame around a pesky celebrity and it would pay off at the worst time.

OOC: Shade has Adversary 3 with Defense 3, Vice and Nyne have Adversary 2; Vice Has Melee Defense 3 and Ranged Defense 1 while Nyne has Ranged Defense 2 and is currently unseen . Vice and Shade are at Short range. Nyne is currently not seen.

The players can comply and leave or Combat begins.

Didn't know Vec was friends with the Boob Knight.

"Wouldn't be the first private facility we've crashed," the smallest of the four says as she slips down her mask, seeing if she could pick up any heat signatures of the missing person.

"Shoot to kill," Vice says focusing her cybernetic eyes on the attackers. Shade activates her jetpack and and leaps to the other side of the pool away from the obvious Sith.

OOC: Initiative roll Cool. Shade uses Triumph for a free Maneuver activates jetpack to leap straight to Medium range, jumping across the Pool.

Kristal was ready when the action began, having her lightsaber to hand as they approached and quickly igniting it as Shade gave her order.

Tapping into her senses when the need arose.

Kristal: Suffer 2 strain to activate sense.
Upgrade 2 attacks twice against Kristal.
Has defense 1, and melee defense 1 from her armor. Totalling to [Melee Defense 2, ranged defense 1]
Soak: 7 (6 if cyber netics do not affect soak)

Shade lines up the perfect shot and fires her Disruptor rifle… the effect is… all consuming… perhaps the Sith survived but if not, she did not suffer. The assassin calls to her ally Vice and says, “Get the blonde one!”

Vicee rushes forward and engages Kristal with powerful but accurate punches and kicks moving her body with speed and power. Connecting a string of combination attacks that would be devastating versus lesser fighters, but not Kristal… one hopes as a second story window reveals the position of Vice who fires a pinpoint accurate shot on Jo’ren… the effect was not as lethal as Shade but damn if it did not hurt!

OOC: Shade has Adversary 3 with Defense 3, Vice and Nyne have Adversary 2; Vice Has Melee Defense 3 and Ranged Defense 1 while Nyne has Ranged Defense 2 and is currently unseen . Vice is at Short range, Shade is at Medium Range. Nyne is currently at Long range. Shade spends 1 strain to reduce Shaisha's Defense by 1, Precise Aim. Flip a Destiny Point for Anatomy Lessons adds her Intellect to the Damage, Deadly Accuracy adds ranks in Ranged Heavy to the damage, that totals 21 wounds she will crit with 2 Advantage, regain 3 strain, and use the remaining Advantage to to give Nyne a boost die and the next ally a Boost die.

As the Twi'lek woman approached Kristal quickly dove into the combat, forced onto the defensive as the woman's paralyzing blows struck hard. However, through some fast action she was able to glance off a couple of the hits enough to keep herself from losing consciousness under the assault.

With the bolt flying past and striking Shaisha cold. Feeling the pang of actual fear, not for herself but for the life of her dear friend, she quickly disengaged her lightsaber to carefully carry Shaisha. Hoisting her up onto her shoulder and quickly making her way toward the Speeder.

Calling out in a commanding tone, "Jo'ren, Sergeant, to the speeder. Now."

Once Shaisha, and herself, were in the speeder. Kristal raised her hand back to where they had been, calling Shaisha's lightsaber to it in the last moments before one of her team hopefully got the speeder moving.

Parry: -3 Strain, negate 4 Damage. Soak 7.

Manuever: Pick up Shaisha, move into speeder (-2 Strain)
Action: Force Move, Shaisha's Lightsaber [Destiny and Strain to convert Pip]

Wounds 5/14
Strain: 7/14

It very quickly went to shit as Jo'ren's gut had told him it probably would. He wasn't quite expecting the accuracy of Shaisha's vision and would tell her about later if she lived.

He managed to reflect at some of the sniper's shot and his armour and natural toughness dealt with some of the rest. It was still a good shot though. He had considered going in to try to kill the Twilek pummeling Kristal, but when she dropped everything to pick up Shaisha it was obviously time for Plan C.

"Come on Vince, this is no time for autographs. Let's get the fuck outta here."

Incidental to use Second Wind and regain 1 strain.
Maneuver to get into the speeder.
Maneuver to apply a stim pack (+2 strain, -5 wounds).

This was as bad as bad could go. If that shot could bring down a Sith, then they didn't stand too much of a chance. And here he came all he way just to flee. A sort of anger seethed through him and he growled out, "My name's not fucking Vince!"

That out of the way, he joined the others in the speeder. It looks like he got his ride fit for a family of four after all, kids included.

Move 1: Run! Get to the speeder!
Action: Turn on the ignition!
Move 2 (taking 2 strain): Gun it!

Shade lowers her weapon and says, "He had to fly."

Vice cracks her neck and says, "Looks like someone wanted to collect on Dango's bounty."

Nyne chimes in over their personal network and says, "Do we need to chase them down?"

"No we need to take care of the princess," she says over the private line. She turns to Jin and says, "Call the staff we are security, not room service."

Jin frowns and says, "Like what's the worst that can happen?"

/scene as the Imperials make a fast getaway with Shaisha bleeding everywhere...
