“Luck is just another name for the Force, it has a way of bringing people together,” the Master replies.

[Durasay Mixo]

"Of course. Still, it's been an honor, all the same." His posture relaxed slightly, as he looked over to Alysele, his smile brightening.

"I can only hope that we are able to resolve the matter soon. As the Force wills it, of course."

[Satele Shan]

“I am sure with you combined efforts you will put an end to the suffering caused by this Azanak,” she says calmly.

“The well being of the nikto people is my primary concern. I have sent a few Jedi to aid where they can while Alysele investigates. I know Master Thun spends time at a soup kitchen there, little things but it displaces the misery hopefully.”

[Alysele Cortess]

Alysele decided to be bold. "Master Shan, what is our usual policy for candidates over the age limit?" She glanced at Durasay, mouthing a small 'sorry'.

[Durasay Mixo]

Durasay blinked, caught slightly off guard by Alysele's bold question to the Master. He wasn't angry, by any means.

It just wasn't something he was expecting.

[Satele Shan]

“He should speak for himself if that is his intent, not simply sprung upon him because you think it is a good idea. This is not simply a choice but a commitment,” she replies calmly.

“All the same it seems a little premature to simply assume anything.”

[Alysele Cortess]

"He should be aware of his options if he is to choice. It is also our duty to guide others, is it not, Master?" There was only politeness in her voice, though it lacked sincerity.

[Durasay Mixo]

"All I know of the Force has been self taught." Durasay spoke up, searching himself as he did so. "And... I could do with more instruction. After all, what good is an ability if you haven't practiced, been shown to harness it." He smiled a bit wryly at Alysele.

He would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy her way with words.

"I understand commitments. I did serve with my homeworld's military for a time."

[Satele Shan]

Satele is quiet and looks at both of them and says, “We will have a discussion, I can’t say or promise anything else. If you are looking for guidance there are many Jedi who can give you guidance on how to deepen your natural connection to the Force.”

“It is not about harnessing the Force it is about living within the Galaxy, the Force is everywhere and you and I and the trees and the Hutts are all apart of it. The Jedi seek balance and harmony, we try to flow with the Force. It is not something to be harnessed or unleashed.”

“What have you learned in through your own efforts of the Force,” she asks.

[Durasay Mixo]

"I've been able to guide emotions. It's helped when speaking with beings in distressed. Also, in my ability to lead, I feel the Force flowing through me, imbuing my commands." Durasay straightened up, his posture firm as he spoke with the Master.

"Flowing with the Force?" He asked, genuine curiousity lifting through his voice.

[Satele Shan]

“The Force moves it has a direction subtle that it is. It guides us, it is was what others see as coincidence we see as the Force. Improbable things occur at the behest of the Force,” she replies.

[Durasay Mixo]

"Best explanation of Smuggler's luck I've ever heard." He gave a small laugh, giving a glance to Aly before returning to Satele.

"Is there anything I'll need to know about the discussion? Or is this more among the Jedi type thing?"

[Alysele Cortess]

"Our first encounter certainly had the flair of the Force upon it... he did save me from an even grislier fate." She favored Durasay with a smile. "I am happy for any discussions." She smiled a bit. "I am far from a perfect Jedi to guide to him, I know myself well enough for that. I hope that my feelings on our encounters are correct, Force, and of course, Durasay willing."

"If you are earnest in wanting to explore a future with the Jedi... speak with Master Thun, she has a wide range of experiences and knowledge that could benefit both of you," Satele says with a smile.

"Plus she loves a good chat and bakes wonderful cookies."
