Way Back Up [Day 7, Late Afternoon]

“Has that ever been our Empire? I am a patriot to the end but I fight for the Empire as it exists not one that has never actually been,” he says with a chuckle.

“It has many flaws but it is far better than the chaos of the Republic.”

"No, I suppose it has not," she said in response initially.

"In an Empire where the Minister of War and a loyal Moff of the Empire are both killed and one is framed for the assassination of the other. While the one who orchestrated their death's has only reaped the benefits of his machinations. I do not find that it is working any longer. Something must change, or we may become something far worse," she said. Allowing Cipher-3 her true thoughts on her fathers demise and that of Aramis Torsin. Unsure if it was because she trusted him or just because she wanted to see if he already suspected, or maybe she just wanted to risk it to have someone else who knew.

Cipher-3 shrugs and says, “Imperial politics has always been a bloody affair, it keeps me busy but I don’t form opinions on the matter. Opinions can get you killed.”

"A very cautious response, Cipher," she commented, however did not expect any different from a man in his position.

[Cipher-3]

"Caution is my life, Serasai," he says calmly.

[Kristal Serasai]

"I wonder which way you will turn when all the caution in the galaxy would fail you," she wondered aloud.

"Though that is not a topic we need to discuss today. Time shall reveal that one, I am certain."

[Cipher-3]

“I am a survivor, Serasai. It is my job to anticipate the changes, not become a victim to them,” he counters.

[Kristal Serasai]

"Yours is not a line of work I would attribute to a survivor," she returned. "There must be something more."

[Cipher-3]

“Why do you say that? I didn’t realize you had a background in espionage and intrigue,” he says with a smile.

“Sith think they know schemes… child’s play.”

[Kristal Serasai]

"No, but I know combat, and dance around it as much as you like there will always be the chance that once someone might be the one to outsmart you," she replied. Taking a sip of her drink as she looked out over the cantina and then looking back to him.

"However, I would say my truth lies in the anticipation of your retirement plan that you have revealed to me. Eventually, your time will come just like that of your former friend and it will be one that you least expect."

“That comes with the Job, no Cipher lasts forever eventually we outlive our usefulness or become more trouble than we are worth,” he replies with a shrug.

“Out there somewhere is a blaster or a lightsaber with my name on it.”

"That is a strange thing to accept for a self defined survivor," she rested her drink on the bar.

"But, that is not something that is solely unique to you, of course."

[Cipher-3]

“We all die luv, except the Emperor, thus far,” he counters.

[Kristal Serasai]

"Precisely to the point why I will not waste my life away merely trying to survive, it will be worth something," she said with conviction.

[Cipher-3]

“I thought that was the motto of all Sith… just try not to kill any of us little people on your way to the top, Serasai,” he says with a smirk.

[Kristal Serasai]

"I will do my best, but I cannot make any promises," she returned the same.

[Cipher-3]

"Well that might give me some comfort, but honestly not much," Cipher-3 says with a grim chuckle.

[Kristal Serasai]

"Even a little success is worth the effort," she says with a smirk. Setting her glass down as she stepped away from the bar and turned to the Cipher. "It has been a pleasure, Cipher. The afternoon is turning into evening and neither of us have the time to spare. I am certain we will meet again."

[Dapper Dog]

He nods and stays at the bar finishing his drink.

Kristal exits the bar, straight ahead toward the exit.
