[Day 7 - Mid-Evening] Waiting to Board

[Vec Gunnar]

Keep it coming? Vec paused for a moment, hoping she didn't think he was going to buy the whole bar for her. He nodded to the bartender, "Yeah, a whisky, straight."

"Your pal and I were just talking about our time in the city, sorta. Can't see the big deal with the celebrities hanging out here and their coastplay. Probably because we don't get the same channels," he said with a shrug, bringing her up to speed on their casual conversation. "There's gotta be something more fun than fawning at people who are famous for doing nothing, yeah?"

[Javagus Khan]

Javagus grins and scoots over as Shae joins them. "Good to see ya. Tough day?"

He glances at Vec. "Could always go huntin' those giant mantids... forget the name, but they're really a sight to see. Get the ol' blood pumpin'."

[Dapper Dog]

“Killed a few people that needed killing, took some fire, not bad for honest work,” Shae says honestly taking the whiskey when offered.

“I didn’t know you were friends with celebrities, cyare?”

[Javagus Khan]

"Celebrity?" He gives Vec an appraising look. "I guess I'm just in the dark."

[Vec Gunnar]

"Mantids?" He brought up curiously with a life of his brow. Game hunting was never something he considered before but may as well take the opportunity, especially when it meant fine-tuning his shot. "Guess I could look those up if I'm still feeling like putting a few blaster rounds into something when I come back."

"Me or Javagus? I guess I had a run in with one, twice. Nothing special. Just saying that I'm not all that charmed by their sort, I think I would have more fun grinding my face against a cinder block," he snickered before taking a sip from his glass.

[Javagus Khan]

"Yeah, what were they called...?" He glances at Shae as he tries to remember the name. "Arkee... no, acklay! Really tough bastards, but Shae here brought it down like it was a mynock. Tougher than a rancor, she is."

[Vec Gunnar]

Vec looked at both of them quizzically. The question was on his mind but it seemed the right time to bring it up. "So, what do you two do then? It sounds like you've got quite a history together. People who are good at something end up together for a good reason."

[Javagus Khan]

Javagus finishes off the rest of his drink and glances at Shae, to see if she wanted to answer him.

[Dapper Dog]

"I'm a warrior, Javagus sells weapons, I guess we go well together," she says before taking a drink. "The acklay was young, full grown they are terrors."

[Javagus Khan]

"Still as big as a house," he adds as he slips an arm around Shae's waist. "Never knew a Mandalorian to be so modest. Should have seen her shootin', it was like somethin' outta a holovid."

[Vec Gunnar]

"Quite a relationship," So long the credits are rolling, I bet. He said with a few nods. "A warrior is always in need of tools to do the job, I understand that myself sometimes. I didn't know you sold weapons, Javagus, guess that never really came up in our talk about the Boob Knight. Doesn't matter too much now, spent all of my credits and I could barely afford a pack. Speaking of that, either got a few cigarettes I could buy off of you?"

"So, what sort of gear do you need to take down an acklay? What did you use, Shae?"

[Javagus Khan]

"Mostly chemicals, but I dabble here and there." He shrugs and pats his chest. "Sorry, none here. Never picked up the habit."

[Dapper Dog]

Shae produces one for the Imperial soldier, "I don't smoke but I always keep some on hand."

"Have it."

[Vec Gunnar]

Vec raised a brow when Shae had a pack on her, despite not smoking. It just seemed odder on a bounty hunter than a socialite and raises all sorts of dark questions. "My thanks for saving my life, sort of. Just heading off on a trip and didn't have a pack of my own, heh. Cheers." He gave her a salute of thanks and took the pack. Rather than lighting one now, he'll ration these for later.

"So back to these hunts, what's required to participate...and be effective?" He looked between Javagus and Shae. "Chemicals?"

[Dapper Dog]

"A weapon and prey is all you need and Nal Hutta has many dangerous creatures to hunt," Shae responds.

[Vec Gunnar]

"Heh, sounds easy enough. I guess they leave the big ones for you," he smirked faintly. "I got a weapon or two, I guess I could just hop in at any time. Don't really know my way, however. Do you two go on those excursions often?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Mandalorians go often to keep our skills sharp, but him... think it was his first time," she says with a pleasant laugh.

"He did well all things considered."

[Vec Gunnar]

Vec let out a low chuckle after a sip of his whisky, looking between Shae and Javagus to allow the latter to give his side of the story if he wished. "Yeah? Considering he's not crippled in any obvious way, I'd think that's pretty good."

[Javagus Khan]

"She's being generous," he chuckles. "Didn't even score a hit, though I managed to distract it for a moment. Still, was a fun little jaunt."

He motions for the bartender to bring another round of drinks.

[Vec Gunnar]

"What was your weapon of choice?" He asked to both of them, seeing as they were on the topic of dangerous excursions.

[Javagus Khan]

"Blaster pistol for me. Nothin' too fancy." He pats at a concealed bulge on his chest.

[Dapper Dog]

"I prefer a blaster rifle, solid weapon and versatile for urban warfare and hunting in the field," she says after a moment of thought.

[Vec Gunnar]

He snickered at Javagus, "Better than a slugthrower I guess. It does the job though, a blaster bolt is a blaster bolt anyway you take it, especially when it hits you between the eyes."

"Mine too, actually," he said with a nod to Shae. "Then again, it's whatever standard issues they give to most of the troopers. Wouldn't mind getting my hand on a repeating blaster if I had the choice."

[Dapper Dog]

"Looking for an upgrade?" Shae says with a chuckle.

"Impress Corso and he might be willing to part with one, spec modded by the best."

[Vec Gunnar]

"Corso?" He said as he stroked his chin inquisitively. "Can't say I've spoken to the guy, or seen him. I leave most of the talk to my superiors and betters when it comes talks of any sort. Something worth considering, and what impresses him exactly?
