Niall helped as requested, raising one eyebrow at Cole's spectacles, but not commenting.

"Our dear Shaisha has become a celebrity then," she said in response to the information as she entered. Standing with Sylvain for a moment and placing a soft hand on his arm.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"You know me, I love being doted on when I'm sick," Shaisha said with some humor in her voice. Both of them knew she hated attention when she was sick or injured.

Still, she didn't seem to mind the current company. Even the Jedi.

Yslane remained quiet as the others spoke. Seemingly in thought.

[Cole Ormont]

"I've been trying to get my hands on a pair of these for a while now," he answered Shaisha. As the Captain moved to assist, he tapped the arm and softly instructed, "diagnostic overlay," the lenses taking on a slightly stronger colour as the holomap appeared in front of his vision.

The faintest hint of a smile ghosted the corner of his mouth, though his expression was serious. "I don't know what you've been getting yourself into, deviless, but it's a miracle you're still walking around." With so many people in the room, he declined to go into detail over what he saw, or its severity.

The overlay had mapped - in precise, three-dimensional detail - the location of a number of internal bleeds, and several blockages in the kidneys. Being able to see the exact locations meant not having to perform an open, exploratory surgery, something that couldn't be done in someone's living room or without skilled assistance.

But it was still a lengthy process, and a painful one, with only local anaesthesia to numb the tiny keyhole incisions. Cole worked efficiently, targeting and cauterising the bleeds, drawing off excess blood where it was putting pressure on nerves and organs. He worked the longest over her left kidney, tiny sonic bursts breaking up the blockages and sending uncomfortable reverberations through the abdomen.

When he was done he straightened his back and rolled his shoulders, pulling off his gloves. The little incisions had barely bled at all, and a smear of synthflesh had sealed them effectively.

"Guess I'm just as difficult to kill as my father," she commented with an expression that was somewhere between a grin and excruciating pain as Cole worked on her. Maybe it was the Sith training, or that she had a stubborn streak the size of an Imperial dreadnought, but she was remarkably disciplined in holding out under the conditions.

As it was finally over, she slumped down as she realised she had tensed up like crazy.

"... Careful Captain, I might just kidnap your officer if he continues to do such good work."

Cole administered a β-blocker to counteract the adrenaline surge in Shaisha's system, and an antispasmodic to help relieve the muscle tension; he admired her strength and discipline, but even the strongest people needed a little rest now and then.

Running a hand through his hair, "I do worry who's going to keep putting you back together after Nar Shaddaa is behind me. I hate to say that I've become quite fond of you, I'd really rather you not up and die any time soon."

Leaning closer, "something for the pain, deviless?"

Having stood off to the side, watching the procedure beside Sylvain Kristal was focused on seeing the doctors work first hand. Once he had finished, and the two began speaking to one another something about it caused a look of realization to cross Kristals expression. With a moment where her brow raised, she leaned away, glanced down and buried the thought deep where she never cared to dig it out from ever again.

Sylvain watched Kristal carefully, sensing some type of turmoil and squeezed her hand as it rest on his arm.

"Hey, if you're looking for somewhere to go after all this, my crew could always use someone like you to patch us up," she said with a pained smile. And the offer of something to fight it... she nodded.

Leaning her head slightly back, she caught a glance at Sylvain and Kristal.

"... Kris, he does good work, as I told you."

[Cole Ormont]

There was a slight pinch as he gave her something powerful for the pain. The same thing he'd been using for his leg.

[Niall Organa]

Niall chuckled at the joke, although he shot Cole a glance. "Well, perhaps if the peace talks are successful, he can just put in a house call from time to time."

[Kristal Serasai]

"That is evident," she said, looking to Shaisha with a raised brow and an added knowing to her look, "just how often have you tested his abilities?"

Kristal was... bad at being subtle.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Err... Only once before?" She felt at least certain that it had only been one time before. "I mean, before yesterday and today, that is."

Oh boy... that relief from the pain felt good. She'd have to pick up some of that stuff for the future.

"House call? Tch, a good doctor like him, in the Empire, he'd probably be in service to a high-ranking Sith."

Cole was not good at social cues, so he answered thus: "Shaisha has requested my assistance twice. Once to treat some fractured ribs after a huttball game, and last night to mend her hand."

Curling her fingers up on one hand she pulled it back behind her, interlocking it with her other.

"You are exceptionally skilled," she commented. Finding this not the best time to cut in and steal him away for her own means, at least not just yet.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain smiled slightly at the weird exchange. He could tell Kris was trying to communicate something to Shai, but Shai had not picked up... neither had he really. So he made a mental note to ask her about it perhaps later.

[Cole Ormont]

Cole could bluff, coerce, and negotiate. What he couldn't be was subtle. "If this has been an audition, ahead of the request you made, then I hope I have performed satisfactorily." He turned off the diagnostic spectacles with a tap and pushed a hand through his curls.

[Kristal Serasai]

"It had not been my intention to make it one, but you have me thoroughly convinced of your ability. I will contact you later if you wish," she said, looking among those present. With so many other Republic in here she wasn't going to say more than that.

"I would suggest being prepared to move when I do."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Told you he was," Shaisha smirked, feeling quite relieved now as the drugs did wonders on her system.

"Thanks, Cole... I really do appriciate the work you've done for me. Got a feeling I'll have a hard time repaying that debt."

[Cole Ormont]

Cole nodded impassively at Kristal, indicating his agreement, but he smiled lopsidedly for Shaisha, putting a hand on her shoulder and squeezing reassuringly. "Don't you worry, I'll keep hoarding these chits. I figure you have to survive if you ever want to cash them in."

[Niall Organa]

Niall cleared his throat, the corners of his lips twitching. "Cole, would you please wait until I'm out of the room at least before you start passing out copies of your resume?" His grey eyes glinted with humor, even if his expression was mostly neutral.

Yslane raised an eyebrow at the sudden drop in tone. She had come expecting the Sith to leverage as much from this as possible, and the conversation had become rather pleasant.

It made her somewhat uncomfortable.
