[D9MM] Quiet Time

[Niall Organa]

Niall sat in a quiet cafe, sipping from his mug, and pushing food around his plate. He was waiting for someone, and didn't have much of an appetite.

Wren is wearing a long coat and takes a seat as she closes her commlink and says, “So what’s the score Captain, things have been crazy right now.”

[Niall Organa]

Niall couldn't help but smile blackly at that. "Well, I hate to add to that, agent, but I'm afraid I have to."

He slid a copy of the data chit he'd received from the evocii across the table to Wren. "I got this from our informant. Who is dead now. But that-" He nodded at the chit, "-is the bigger story."

“Give me the short version,” she says taking the data chit and sliding it into her cleavage and then zipping up her red body suit.

[Niall Organa]

Niall watched the data chit disappear.

His eyes flickered back up. "It's evidence that implicates not only Ras Urdo, but a number of members of the senate. And one of Garza's commanders. I brought it to you because... there are a lot of people who would do the wrong thing with that. I don't think you're one of those people."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

“I am not sure there is a right thing either, I will give it a more thorough but if has what you say it has a lot of people are going to get burned. We need to be careful, and we need to be prepared for blowback,” Wren replies.

“You’re lucky, most encounters with Cipher agents tend to be fatal. We figured there had to be one operating on Nar Shaddaa, glad to have confirmation.”

Niall nodded. "Yes. And, ah, be careful, agent. The mission on the freighter yesterday seems to have displayed that SIS has some factionalism. Make sure you don't let the wrong people see this."

"It was fatal. Just not for me. Hmmm." Niall frowned thoughtfully. "Better thoroughly check the veracity of that data. Just in case I was left alive for the purpose of delivering it."

“I will be thorough. What happened on the freighter,” she adds with concern.

[Niall Organa]

"We went in two teams. One went quiet, mostly, the other went loud." Niall said. "SIS agents showed up to arrest my team. Apparently they had orders to keep an eye on the investigation, but also to keep anyone from interfering with their work. Someone wants their work to continue."

Niall grit his teeth. "They're children, Wren. We were rescuing children."

She frowns at that, “Kriff… could you identify any of the agents. I might have to do a little Internal Investigations at the end of a blaster.”

[Dapper Dog]

A man takes a seat and slides Wren a data chit and then looks at Niall and says, “You seem to get around; name’s Vain, Vain Taskar, private eye and Jedi Shadow, keep that on the hush, nice to finally meet you captain.” He turns to Wren and adds, “Should be everything.”

[Agent Wren Yuris]

Wren slides that data chit into her cleavage pocket and zips it back up and says, “Thanks for looking into that matter. Niall here was telling me about dirty SIS agents, got some time to handle a little leg work?”

[Dapper Dog]

Vain says, "Bring me up to speed."

[Niall Organa]

Niall nodded to the newcomer, and shot a questioning look at Wren, but she seemed to trust him.

After watching that chit disappear as well, Niall was silent for a moment. "They didn't seem to be in too much of a hurry to identify themselves. The first was a man who wore sunglasses. The second one was a woman. I got a good look at her datapad." Niall passed on all the information he could.

"I managed to convince both of them to give us a little leeway." Niall said. "It's difficult when one has disagreeable orders. I rather suspect that the true culprit is above them."

“Vain, mind looking into this matter for me, seems to be in your wheelhouse,” Wren says.

[Dapper Dog]

Vain rubs his chain in thought and says, “Yeah should be easy enough I can review the SIS rosters and go from there.”

He produces a holocard and hands it to Niall, “I’ll be in touch. Make it a top priority just for you, Wren.” He rises and adds, “I would be rich if I actually charged for half the stuff I do.”

Niall took the holocard. He brought it towards the front of his jacket before he remembered that's not where he put things.

"Very good." He said. "Is there anything you'd recommend I'd do in the meantime?"

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Watch out fort eh Cipher and don't engage him, alone. Cipher agents are top level assets of the Empire. Trained in a variety of disciplines and have incredible resources at their disposal. If this agent was being followed by a Cipher, then this is serious," Wren responds.

[Dapper Dog]

Vain adds, “I’ll leave you to it.” He adjusts his jacket and departs.

Niall nodded to the departing Jedi detective.

He turned back to Wren. "Well. I suppose I wait, then."
