Therapy for Amnesiacs [EM9]

[Moyr Ahaya]

Moyr came to the compound, passing clearances until she could make a call for the presence of Watcher-5.

[Watcher 5]

Watcher 5 was in his usual place, consuming data.

[Moyr Ahaya]

It may have been rude to interrupt his breakfast bu Moyr was determined.

"I want your attention and assistance, Watcher-5."

[Watcher 5]

"You have my ear for now," he replies looking at the feeds.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"I am under a lingering Force effect that has caused a selective amnesia. I'd like this reverted, my memory of what happened last morning restored. From our prior conversations and joint experiences I have gathered it is one of the areas of your expertise."

[Watcher 5]

"I need details on how this occurred," he responds.

"Be thorough."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"The Hollow Lake on Nal Hutta, a place of Dark Vergence. A sunken pyramid guarded by a humongous being. I swam toward it, probably reached the pyramid proper because I sent these to an assistant over the surface." She swiped visuals of glyphs to one of his screens. "But I remember nothing more until I was floating on the surface, talking to a vision of you."

[Watcher 5]

"I see, what did I say?" he says turning to face her.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"It was not you, but probably my master, using a projection of you to convey guidance. He has done it before with the faces of other people that meant something to me."

She mused.

"To reorder my thoughts, identify the pieces, the last memory. Which was of Jug'tih, the Queen of Massassi. The mask I got from her reacted strangely for a time."

[Watcher 5]

“You want to try a similar form of therapy we used on myself to free myself of the conditioning?” he counters.

“I admit it may be helpful, it may not. I am not sure how the process will react to a mind sensitive to the Force.”

[Moyr Ahaya]

"I am not sure either, but this is the only path I can see right now. I want to retrieve that knowledge." She looked at the glyphs visuals. "Maybe deciphering these again will provide a mental lead."

[Watcher 5]

“Simple cryptography and linguistics, you mind?” Watcher 5 asks.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Be my guest."

[Watcher 5]

"Be my guest."

Watcher 5 flips through them rather quickly and then hands the Datapad back and says, “Looks straight forward enough.”

“We can try hypnosis”

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Let's do that." She studied the deciphered material, reaching into herself to check if something rang.

[Flipped destiny]

Moyr anchored herself at the last memory before forgetting and the last that hadn't been obscured... the glyphs. She... triangulated? Closing her eyes, she followed Watcher-5's instruction to find the hidden door in her own mind...

[Dapper Dog]

She is in a room, it looks like her room back at Korriban with a single door and a child staring at her at next to the door.

“You are here, alone. Only you can open the door,” the boy says in Watcher 5’s voice.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"So we're through this again. I suppose I know how it works now." She nodded to the boy and approached the door. Some moments from the time in the Academy, circumstances in which those door were opened or shut, came back to her. She reached out to check if those were indeed the same door, opening in the way she knew about.

[Dapper Dog]

It opens easily.

The boy says, "Korriban was a turning point for you. This is where you started your crusade versus Zash. Where you earned a place at Jadus side. Where you found a true friendship."

Beyond the door is a long hall, on each side are various versions of Moyr from birth to old age.

[Moyr Ahaya]

Mesmerised by what she had not expected, she began to walk among many herselves, studying them intently. The little Moyr, her family's abomination. The frightened adolescent from the slaver ship. The smuggler queen of life at the age of fifteen, with a smug grin and eyes glazed by whiskey and spice. The Moyr that loved madly, the Moyr that defied recklessly. The frustrated, the wounded, the obnoxious, the daring, the feral... The singing one, the one crying her soul out in the desert. Her gaze was drifting toward contemporaneity... But then way back to the beginnings, to the infant, wondering if something was there, any secret hiding in her lineage that would let her trace a pattern to the path. If Aphr was to be believed, her story had begun before she was born.

"This is true. But this inventory of myself is much wider than that."

[Watcher 5]

"I see it now, outside interference... source, obvious," Watcher 5 says.

[Dapper Dog]

The boy smiles and says, “Clever… I thought there was some one else poking around in here.”

[Moyr Ahaya]

"So many visitors in my subconsciousness." Moyr chuckled despite the frantic nature of what was occuring. "Good to be aware of it at the very least. I suppose we should be looking for distortions."

[Watcher 5]

The boy fades away and only Watcher 5 remains. He says, "Not sure who the visitor is, but I believe they may be tied to your reasons for not being able to remember. The information is not locked away, not it is gone. You may have to go to the source to get this remedy."

"Who gave you this mask?" he asks.
