Everlight (D8 ME)

First thing's first, before going around accusing imperials. And Sith, no less.

Investigation. The best lead she has to start with? This 'Everlight.' So, Arali makes her way through the spaceport, looking for the ship in question.

[Dapper Dog]

The ship is easy to find and there is security but nothing intensive. It is a busy place with constant activity.

[Arali Zian]

Arali goes through her vast array of infiltration and espionage techniques, determining how best to approach this conundrum.

...then starts looking for someone to talk to. Maybe some of the crew is still buzzing about? If not, she can probably go talk to the port authority.

[Dapper Dog]

One of the security guards, a human male, says, “Hey tails, what are you doing?”

[Arali Zian]

Arali flinches at the address, but manners prevail.

"I am looking to get in contact with the crew of the Everlight," she answers directly.

[Dapper Dog]

"Captain got locked up the way I hear it, the rest of the crew not sure," he says lighting a death stick and taking a deep puff.

"Maybe on the ship."

[Arali Zian]

"Thank you, sir. Have a nice day." Or an interesting one, at least. Gotta question a security force on hallucinogens. In fact, heavily armed men on hallucinogens is probably a bad idea.

She makes her way to the Everlight and chirps it with her comm. "Hailing crew of the Everlight. Do you copy?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Huh... no one is home! Just go away!" a voice replies in Huttese.

[Arali Zian]

"You do realize," Arali points out, "That if no one were home, no one would answer to say that no one is home. Now, let's stop playing games; I hear some imperial entanglements have gotten in the way of business. I've been sent by a mutual associate to see to it supplies start moving again. Now, do you want help on someone else's cred, or do you want to sit there until you go broke paying for parking fees and groceries?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Okay... fine, who sent you?" the voice replies.

[Arali Zian]

"Dr. Tsikra is investigating the status of Haza Kris," she answers directly.

[Dapper Dog]

He lets her on board a short togruta scars on on his face. He frowns and says, "Look I know we missed the Doc's last shipment but you gotta understand, we are in a bad way here. Captain is locked up by the Imperials and the stuff she wants is still out there. You want to square it with her we need either the Captain back or 200 credits to square our debt to the Hutts."

"Course we sill have to go back... should be an easy trip hopefully."

[Arali Zian]

"I'm not here to break kneecaps," she assures the togruta. "I'm here to get things moving again. Was your captain imprisoned because of this debt, or is there more to that story?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Separate thing," he replies.

"Just a bunch of bad luck all at once."

[Arali Zian]

"I see," Arali says, waiting for the togruta to continue.

He doesn't.

"I can see what I can do for your captain, but I'm going to need to know what happened, and where he's being held."

[Dapper Dog]

"Imperials got him, they might release him.... might not, but we have the coordinates in the ship. I just don't like going to the pickup it gives me the creeps. Feel like my ancestor are judging me, and not in a good way," he says with fear in his voice.

[Arali Zian]

"I'll see what I can do about your captain, but it may take some time. It sounds like the fastest way to get supplies moving again is to cover this debt with the Hutts. Expect a funds transfer by tomorrow afternoon. Please do not disappoint the good doctor."

[Dapper Dog]

“That’s all fine and dandy but we still have to get back out there, and I am not going alone. Place gives me the creeps,” he counters.

“I want to do right by the Doctor, but you will need more than just me to pull this off.”

[Arali Zian]

"I can make it happen. Just tell me what you need covered."

[Dapper Dog]

"Need a copilot, probably some security, just in case," he says after a moment of thought.

[Arali Zian]

"Very well. This can be arranged. I'll be in touch; have a nice day."
