[Day 9 - Early Afternoon] Looking For Group

[Vec Gunnar]

After his purchases, Vec made his way to the Yellow Viper Cantina. He entered not for gambling or booze, but rather for someone in particular. This was the meeting spot and he was ready to go, now he needed to find his partner to take him to whatever party she had apparently set up.

[Dapper Dog]

Shae was sitting at the bar next to a another woman, they were enjoying a chat.

[Vec Gunnar]

Spotting the woman he wanted to find, he strolled over and took to the side not taken by the woman. He gave them both a curt nod in greeting. "Good afternoon Shae, mind if I grab this spot?"

“Have at it, Vec, have you met Vora Nodd? Meanest bitch this side of the Hydian Way,” Shae says introducing Vora.

Vora adds, “Meanest bitch, period.”

[Vec Gunnar]

Vec gave a nod at the acceptance and sat down at the seat, placing his arm on the counter. He looked to Vora and gave her a quick appraisal, smirking faintly. "Meanest bitch, period, gotcha. Vec Gunnar, as Shae mentioned. Charmed and all that," he extended her hand over, not thinking twice about whether or not she was going to bit it off.

[Dapper Dog]

Vora shakes it firmly and says, “You have any qualms vaping a few low lifes for the cause? This is the guy right. The one looking for the work?”

Shae nods to Vora.

Vora says, “Could use a gun in a quick bit of retaliation, you in?”

[Vec Gunnar]

"Me? No problem at all, my dear," Vec gave an easy shrug of his shoulder. To what cause she was talking about, he didn't really care or commit. However, the part about vaping low lifes, he could get behind something like that. "As I told Shae yesterday, I'm in the mood to shoot something and being useful. So, consider me part of the cause for today." All part of the Vec Gunnar Charity Foundation.

"What's the target and when we doing it?" He nodded to Vora.

[Dapper Dog]

Vora replies, “He’ll do. Got a crew of thugs trying to force extra protection fees on us. Guess they didn’t get the word this is Corso’s joint. They should be here any minute when they do we give them a Mando’ade welcome.”

[Vec Gunnar]

Ah, turf dispute. He had done this before a lifetime ago, should be child's play. "That's damned silly of them. Heh, adorable, almost. I'd be more than happy to help out. We trying to keep this clean or am I free to toss a few bolts around?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Shoot to kill, we like to make the message clear, though do try and limit the damage so papa Corso does not get too angry," Vora replies.

[Vec Gunnar]

"Heh, should have known this was not just a brawl and scuffle with you folks. All right then, consider them dead then," he nodded as he reached inside his coat and had his hand on his rifle, facing the bar so it wouldn't be overtly obvious.

[Dapper Dog]

A beefy trandoshan walks in followed by six goons. The trandoshan hisses and speaks in his native tongue, “You missed your payment again, Vora. Is this how you show friendship? This is upsetting.”

The goons fan out weapons drawn, “Ryssa just wants her cut, and we run this district.”

Vora replies, “Dango says otherwise, and I told you if you ever came back I would make you into a pair of boots, Vizzyn. Damn if I don’t keep my promises.” She rushes towards the trandoshan and says, “Pirunir sur’haaise!”

OOC: Cool check for initiative. Vora uses the Triumph to move to short range before Combat begins. Vizzyn has Adversary 1, and there are two groups of Minions of 4.

"Get out if you don't want to get shot!" Vec called out as he went on the ready. If anyone collateral was left, it was their own fault as far as he was concerned.

Day 9, Cool for Initiative: 2eA 0 successes, 4 advantage

[Dapper Dog]

Vora draws a vibro-knife with a keen edge and dives at the surprised trandoshan! The thug reacts quickly and tosses her to the floor but she is ready and rolls to her feat as they square off, the distraction giving Shae a clean shot…

Shae capitalizes and lays down accurate blasts from his position near the bar and cuts two thugs down and easily shoots the blaster from the hands of a third thug!

Vizzyn draws a vibro-sword and retaliates on Vora but the skilled fighters give no ground while the remaining thus from Shae’s onslaught picks up his weapon and fires back at Shae! He trips on a chair and falls to the ground but lands as solid shot on the Mandalorian!

OOC: Vizzyn has Adversary 1, and there are two groups of Minions of 4. Vora gives Shae a boost die, Shae hits for 11 wounds on group #1, 2 Advantage to inflict a Critical Injury, then 1 advantage to give the next ally a boost die, Vec. Three more advantage to disarm the squad.After soak and Crit there is only one standing out of the three with no gun in hand.

Vizzyn grants the next ally a boost die and notices strong drink he might be able to utilize behind the bar. Thug #1 hits for 8 wounds, 3 after soak and falls prone and suffers 1 wound from threat.

This was getting pretty crazy pretty fast but at least things were pretty intimate with everyone it seemed and he knew who he was shooting in a stand-up fight. It seemed Vora was holding her own at the moment and the first group was getting cut down by Shae. Vec quickly hopped over the other side of the bar to get himself a solid spot in the firefight and readied his blaster to shoot at the other group to keep them occupied. "Got you covered!"

[Dapper Dog]

Vec puts one of the thugs down as they scramble for cover and fire back but all they do is destroy the cover they have and give the Imperial an excellent firing lane on them.

Vora continues her vicious assault and jabs her vibro-blade into the trandoshan’s side and then yanks it out viciously keeping the thug off balance as he tries to swing back but is easily parried and then disarmed by the skillfull Mandalorian fighter.

Vizzyn adopts a defensive posture and grabs his weapon quickly from the floor... The second group of thugs fire back at Vec but he is able to duck but their blasts hit several flammable bottle and light them on fire and before long the bar area is an inferno!

OOC: One of the thugs in group #2 goes down and one takes a single wound from the damage! Thug group #2 loses effect of cover and grant Vec a boost die against them. They maneuvered for Cover but lose it due to Threat. Shae kills the last Thug and uses the Triumph to knock Vizzyn prone.

Thugs grant the next ally a boost die and use Triumph to light the bottles on fire, destroying Vec's cover and lighting him on fie if he does not move. Vizzyn spentds a maneuver to use Defensive Stance and a Maneuver for 2 strain/wounds, to pick up his weapon. Now at 4 wounds.

"Well, shit!" Vec muttered out as a few unlit bottles hit his shoulder, only to create a pool on the ground for the flaming alcohol to further ignite from. It was starting to get hot here and he needed to shift spots if he didn't want to get cooked!

"Didn't want things to be easy anyway!" He yelled out and hopped over the bar once more, half soaked in alcohol with a sprinkling of glass shards as he brought himself back to the forefront. Vec let loose a few blaster shots at the group in retaliation, hoping to cut them down now that he put himself out in the open again and made himself an easy target...

Move: Hop out!
Action: Fire back!

Day 9, Round 2 - Shooting at Thug Group #2: 3eP+1eA+2eD+1eB 3 successes, 2 threat


Hitting thugs for 9+3+2 damage.
Adding a Boost to the next one who fires at him.

OOC: One thug left and has taken 2 wounds from Vec.

Shae takes aim and blasts Vizzyn in the back of his head, ending the trandoshan leg breaker as Vora charges towards the last thug and dives at him stabbing the poor wretch repeatedly until she is covered in twi’lek blood. She laughs and says, “Weak… barely broke a sweat.”

OOC: Shae does 16 wounds to Vizzyn, this kills Vizzyn! Advantage used to give next ally a boost die and another for the bartender to start putting out the dire.

Vec stood in the open, rather surprised he didn't get shot back for the attention he was drawing. Hard to do that when everyone was dead, admittedly. He gave a cautious look at the surroundings to see if anyone was going to duck out and join the gang for reinforcement, then slowly relaxed.

"Huh, yeah," he said in amazement with a grunt. "Bringing a knife to a gun fight, you make it look easy."

He let out a low whistle as he glanced at Shae. "Nice shooting, there. Could see what Javagus was talking now, that's for sure."

[Dapper Dog]

“I’m better with my fists, felt like giving them a chance, but they failed to deliver,” Vora says with a grin wiping blood from her face.

Shae juts nods and then goes to assist with putting out the fire.

[Vec Gunnar]

"Is that so?" He said with a hint of amusement. "I thought we were taking this seriously without room for horseplay. Had I know we had some room to play around, I would have considered jumping in there with you. Still, good to test out the sights on this thing."

He gave the optics on his blaster a quick look over before he hid it back in his coat. "This something you two girls do often? What have I been missing? I have the corporal watching over the rest of the squad until I get my reinforcement, so consider me free if you need me for anything."

[Dapper Dog]

“I like to stay sharp and you get get sharp sitting around, so yeah I am always ready for a scrap,” Vora says walking over to the bar and frowns. “Well they kriffing ruined it, but not all the booze burned up.”

[Vec Gunnar]

Vec dust himself off of the glass shards that were hiding in the collar of his coat and armour. "Hrm, coulda swear I got more on me than in me. That should be fixed. Before I need to buzz off, mind sharing a quick shot with me?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Pour, Imperial," she says.

[Vec Gunnar]

"Heh, gladly," he smirked and made his way behind the bar again, provided that the fire was put out already. He gave a small wave at the smoke that lingered, that scent was going to stick around for a while. Leaving the bartender to the clean up, Vec found a bottle of something that stayed intact and set down three shot glasses. He didn't have a bartender's steady hand but he poured the alcohol in mostly even servings, at least.

"Get your shots!" He said, mostly telling Shae to join in. "To danger people and staying sharp!"
