[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "Reminds me of when I became a Sith. Father had been killed, survived a battle. Lost my best friends. Got them back.... joined the man who killed my father... it was a pretty hectic and tiresome experience."

He chuckled, "And it only gets worse from there."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I suppose you are right in that," Yslane nods, "So...where do you go from here? Or is that dependent on the results of the peace talks...."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"How freely I move about is dependent on them I suppose..." He said thinking, "But as of this morning I have been released from service to Darth Baras... So my path is whatever I make it to be."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Seems we both were discharged of our Master's," Yslane finally manages a chuckle, "Though I suppose mine was less wanted but the more friendly of the two. Without a Master....patron.....you are forced to rely on your own powerbase?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "Or whatever may resemble what remains of such a thing... it's a pretty hard restart to be honest."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"You still have your friends no?" Yslane replies, "Ladies....Vreysk and Serasai?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "To the degree they can help me. Baras is making it difficult for anyone to do so though."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"...might I ask what so upset your Master?" Yslane pressed her lips straight, "Sounds like it was more then a powerful mind discarding a tool he no longer needs."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I'm sure there are many reasons why he does what he does...." He chuckled, "But my mother certainly played a significant role in this decision."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I see." Yslane nods, "Well then....the past seems to hold nothing for you at the moment. So then might I ask what the future holds? Assuming peace comes."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "Finding my footing in the Empire is probably my first step forward here.... perhaps with the peace I will travel a bit. Let the Force guide me on a bit of research throughout the galaxy."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"In truth I am torn....part of me wishes you success as a person, but part of me hopes you don't rise in power...if the peace fails we might find ourselves at odds again." Yslane frowned, "But I can hope whatever path you take the Force guides you to better the galaxy."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "I suppose that's the best I can ask for as a member of the Empire..."

He then smiled, "But trust me... a future with me in a position of power will always be better than one with Baras in power."

He then leaned back, "And what about yourself?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I...don't know," Yslane pushed her glass, "I had assumed I would still be a Padawan...so my options have opened. I will have to ponder on all of this."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"What is the main difference between Padawan and Jedi? Are you afforded any more autonomy?" He asked.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Yes...more or less, a Padawan is sort an apprentice Jedi. Focusing more on the learning and growing into the role," Yslane replied, "And not particularly on service to a Master. One a Jedi feels a Padawan is ready they usually put them through a series of trials....such things can be expedited in special circumstances. Indeed considering all that has happened here....it would not surprise me to be considered equal to the trials. Anyway when a Jedi is satisfied with their Padawan's progress they can make the request to the Council and they become a full member of the Order."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "And then the duties of the Jedi differ in what way...? You are given assignments from above and follow through, or you select your own course?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"It depends on the times mostly....considering the current one, the Council will probably have specific requests in mind." Yslane sighed, "In less tense times I would probably have greater leeway in my activities."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "I see. Well, of all the Jedi I know I'd think you most capable of regulating your own actions... So I feel that this promotion will be a good thing for you."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Thanks.... hoping to have someone you know on the Council?" Yslane laughed, "... right now I am still too tired from the work picking up the pieces to think on all this too deeply."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "Me too... right now I'd like to just enjoy the alchohol and the company of a beautiful young woman."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Well you have half of what you are looking for." Yslane sighed, "A bit unfair with me covered in dust and soot. I do clean up nice though."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Beauty isn't skin deep for someone like me." He said with a chuckle. "Dirt speaks of your character more than makeup."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I suppose it does, I note your own robes have a few suspicious stains." Yslane nodded toward one, "I thought helping the weak was counter to Sith philosophy."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Not the Imperial philosophy... plenty of uses and jobs for the weak." He chuckled.
