The system sparks and gives a read out of the position and thankfully it can free itself of the terminal decay, but he has no real controls and alarm klazons are going off.

Something about hill collapse imminent in Engineering.

Rumun activates the engines at the right moment, hopefully the ship can gain enough aceleration to leave the planet's gravity well. The ship will be floating in space, but that's better than fall into the gas giant. One problem at a time.

He then runs towards the exit door before the entire room collapses.

[Dapper Dog]

He feels the ship lurch before inertial dampeners set in and he is out of the engine room as the craft begins to fight gravity and pull itself from the gas giant. A computerized voice comes over the comm, "Please report to emergency shuttles, catastrophic damage detected in the following ares..." the voice lists off a litany of areas on the ship with running lights along the ground to guide the crew.

They can also guide him to the bridge, one set of lights for escape one for essential crew.

[Rumun Gol]

Rumun did not came here to be left drifting in space in an emergency pod, he came here to get this ship! He ignores the evacuation alarms and continues forward to the bridge. His emergency shuttle will be the entire ship.

[Dapper Dog]

The bridge is intact with a few decayed but preserved corpses of a hutt and a few humans and a nikto. He can attempt tp try and steer or send a communication to the queen.

OOC: Piloting Space check at Average with two setback dice or a Computers check at Average for communications.

[Rumun Gol]

Rumun tries redirecting all non-vital power left on the ship to the engine rooms and thrusters, he needs just enough impulse to steer the ship out of the gravity well. The ship probably will suffer more damage to the hull structure but that is better than be vaporized in the upper atmosphere of the gas giant. His duros background helped him in discovering the technical procedures to sucessfully steer the ship.

Rumun guides the ship into a stable orbit... he now has plenty of time to copntact the Queen if he so desires now that the worst is behind him... kind of. The ship is in bad state... air levels will not last for long without significant repairs.

With the oxygen levels dropping Rumun knows that he has to be quick. He has two respirators in case the ship's oxygen runs out, one currently in his possesion and the other one inside his survival kit at the entrance of the ship. Calmness and pacience is the key to survival. Desesperation and physical activity will make the oxygen run out even more quickly.

Besides, there must be even more respirators masks around the ship. Every ship has emergency breathers.

In any case, he goes to the bridge's comunication console and tries to reach the the Nova Devils.

It is patchy but he reaches the Nova Devils and receives a static message, "This is... Rumun... we... ready... go."

[Rumun Gol]

'' Don't know if you can hear me. The ship has suffered catastrophic damage. I saved it from a terminal orbit around a gas giant. Oxygen levels are dropping, sending you the current coordinates and position. '' He speak only what it is needed. Not going to waste oxygen in more detailed message.

Guess It is time to wait until rescued. He goes around the bridge looking for other emergency respirator masks. He also inspected the dead bodies from afar, without moving them. He was curious about how they died. He also tries to memorize his way to the emergency pods if he runs out of oxygen.

[Thaya Kess]

Ten long minutes pass before he gets a reply much clearer, "This is Thaya Kess, of the Nova Queen... We have come along side and made dock. Thank you, Rumun, at least the Sith can be counted on to hold to their word."

The crew died of asphyxiation at some point the air got vented probably due to the damage before a bulkhead sealed it.

Rumun opens a communication channel with Thaya, again. '' Glad to hear your voice. I told you, your grace. I'm a man of my word. '' The duro said to the pirate queen. '' I will wait for you then. Be careful, the ship is quite damaged and several areas are collapsed or open to the void. ''

Is there any loot from the corpses? Something valuable without angering the pirate queen.

The crew have some weapons and uniforms but they are in a poor state now, but the Queen once she boards and secures the ship with her pirates is more than happy to give Rumun a parting gift of 15,000 credits for his troubles and although not allegiance agrees to work with Darth Hoshi in Hutt space.
