Call of the Wild (Day 10, LA, The Menagerie)

[Fee Bua]

"Well, that's one of the things I can teach if you wish it. The hearts of people are easier to read with the force if you attune yourself properly."

[Galen Sol]

"I can actually do that." he said. "I can even nudge their feelings a bit. But, I'm just not that social of a person."

[Fee Bua]

"Well, that's good then. Doesn't sound like I have much that I can teach. Unless your interested in history and the like. I've learned my fair share about such things as well," Fee says with a nod.

[Galen Sol]

"It's alright." he chuckled. "I'm sure I'll find something. It sounds like you may be busy, regardless."

[Fee Bua]

"I do try to keep myself busy. Plenty of people to help."

[Galen Sol]

"That's true. There's a full galaxy of people in need." he nodded. "How do you find time for yourself?"

[Fee Bua]

"Time for others is time for myself. It is what I enjoy doing, easing the pain and suffering of others, helping them get back on their feet, caring for them. It comes with it's own sadness and stress but most of the time I'm simply happy to get someone back on their feet. The knowledge that I helped someone else get back to their life is fulfilling to me."

[Galen Sol]

"That is inspirational in itself. Do you work alone?"

[Fee Bua]

"When I get to places where I can be of assistance, there are usually other docs and engineers that I can work with. Not many have the gifts I do, but I prefer to let locals take the lead. While I enjoy helping, those in dire straits know what they need best. If there is nobody then I will step up, but it's better for a community to rely on itself before, during and after I've made my contributions. I like to consider myself a simple boost to their strengths to help bind them back together and rebuild in the wake of destruction."

[Galen Sol]

"That makes sense." he nodded. "I'm afraid I wouldn't be much help to you. I know little about medicine or mechanics."

[Fee Bua]

"There's more to helping people than that though. People need evacuations, supplies which need donated and run. You said you're good with animals and many refugee camps have them when local farmers and traders rely on them. Plenty of ways to help."

[Galen Sol]

"I am a hunter for the most part." he shrugged. "I can help with animals, but does that need really come up that often?"

[Fee Bua]

"More than you might think on outer rim worlds that have been touched by the war. I usually just help them set up pens. A lot of their livelihood is in agriculture and they have to try and save as many of their animals as possible. The don't always react in a docile manner when subjected to such circumstances."

[Galen Sol]

"Hmm..." he considered that for a moment. "That would be rewarding. It is something I will need to think about."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington wanders around the damaged areas. While not looting, he is looking out for stuff that may be salvageable. Not having much luck he comes across the menagerie and some people within. He offers them a polite smile. "Good afternoon. I didn't know there was an animal preserve here."


Dumpster diving for parts. Streetwise = 0 success, 1 threat

[Fee Bua]

"Lots of ways to help," Fee replies to Galen. Looking to Remmington, "Apparently so. And this place has the fortune of having not exploded so it's a nice place to take a break after rebuilding efforts."

[Galen Sol]

"It's more of a marketplace than a preserve." Galen explained. "Unique creatures are among the many unusual things those who can afford it like to collect."

[Fee Bua]

Fee simply nods at that. If a person can settle their issues with money rather than weapons, that was peaceful enough. The wealthy and the privileged only deserved spite and ire when they resorted to violence to resolve arguments.

[Galen Sol]

The small creature on his table climbed onto his forearm, seeking his attention. He scratched it's chin with a smile. "I suppose they aren't the only ones."

[Fee Bua]

"So what do you usually do for your jobs, if you don't mind me asking? Is your ship a transport or bounty ship or something?"

[Galen Sol]

"The ship I was on transported cargo, mostly." he nodded. "I helped with security or reconnaissance if our pick up or delivery points were in unusual locations. Beyond that, I've done live captures of animals, like the ones here."

[Fee Bua]

"That must be interesting, capturing game live. I imagine it's a bit more complex than hunting to kill. I've never done either though so I wouldn't know," Fee admits.

[Galen Sol]

"It can be a challenge." he nodded. "The goal is to cause them as little damage as possible. Depending on the creature, however, it may not be feasible to restrain them through passive means."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"A marketplace for animals?" Remmington replies while looking around.

"Hmm... not sure why anyone would want to buy an animal. People don't like normal pets anymore?"

[Fee Bua]

"Beasts of burden and zoo attractions are probably reasons some of these animals are purchased," Fee replies. "Possibly research and medical testing or harvesting for rarer organic tissue."
