Ride of the Valkyries [D0 - Skidbladnir]

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington stands up from the co-pilot seat and looks towards the pilot briefly. "Take it from here for a bit Verandi. I'm going to make a call."

"Yes Lord Remmington." Responds a soft feminine voice from the pilot seat.

He heads back to the holo deck. After closing the door, he activates the Holonet and makes a call to Jo'ren.

Eventually the call was answered and a massive sith appeared in hologram form. His handsome face was still for a few moments before a smirk spread across it.

"Well there's a twist: Rem! How the hell are you? Been a while."

They had not spoken for some time, their paths diverging after leaving the academy. He looked down at something.

"And what the hell's a 'Skidbladnir'?"

"It's the name of a mythical ship from my home world. It was large enough to accommodate the gods and carry their army of heroes into battle." Remmy answers back in return with a smile.

"It is good to see you. How have you been by the way? Last I heard you were going back to that jungle world Yavin."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Gods and heroes eh? Those are some big boots you're trying to fill old pal."

Jo'ren grinned at Rem over the Holo.

"Yeah, I've been busy. Yavin's the gas giant, Yavin IV's where the action is. Been working with the Massassi. Have to say I like those jungles man. Way more than those deserts on Korriban."

He leaned back a bit and relaxed.

"So where have you been? I heard Jaina took you on."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"I just went out to the Outer Rim for a couple months before going back to Korriban. Been busy training and occasionally help out with instructional classes.

I'm on my way to Nar Shaddaa now. Get out and stretch my legs a bit. Wondering if you or anyone else from our class is going there too." He smirks a bit back at big red.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Seriously? Jaina trying to get rid of you or something? I've spent a lot of time around Yavin and Imperial space, but I hit the Rim a few times." He laughed and looked over at the navicomp readout. "Yeah, I'll be arriving in the Y'toub system in...looks like 10 hours. 'Peace talks' to attend. Or at least to put a face to. You ever been before?"

"Never been." Remmington shakes his head. "Nah she didn't. I just asked if I could do. Figure it might be a good opportunity in the Neutral zone."

A smile crosses his lips. "Though I hear there is this sport there that is pretty popular. Have you ever heard of Hutt Ball? Figure I try making a team and give it a shot. Give us a chance to get some exercise, keep our skills up, and check out what the competition has to offer during these peace talks where everyone is supposed to play nice."

"Hutt Ball? Nope, can't say I have. How does it work? Kick a ball through a hoop or something?"

He liked his athletics, but some sort of sort could be a fun way of checking out the competition.

"Is it lethal or non? Either way, sounds interesting. Keep us entertained during the politicking."

"No kicking. Hutts don't have legs.

They have 3 levels with the ball in the middle of the arena. There are 2 teams composing of 6 players. There are traps on the arena stage itself like jets of fire that shoot upward. It used to be lethal though I hear they switched over to stun weaponry since they started having problems running games with the rapidly decreasing pool of players to use.

You just get the ball, pass it to your team mates or run with it yourself, and get it into the other team's zone. Simple no? Oh... and you are allowed to use the Force and beat your opponent unconscious." Remmington adds in knowing the True Sith would probably be all gung ho about the last part.

"Huh, that does sound like my kind of game! And you say I can beat people and that's fine, but no kicking? Ah, okay."

Weird, well maybe the Hutts weren't so bad.

"I guess we'll need a team then, give me a call if you figure one out? Should be a fun distraction at least. What else you got planned in Hutt space? Maybe we can help each other out..."

"Well no kicking the ball. I believe kicking the other team is just fine."

Remmington nods. "We should try recruiting people for the team. I already have a name, team Valkyrie.

As for plans. I want to make a lot of credits. There are a lot of things I want to get and they are all expensive.

If possible help out with the Empire's goals. Maybe become a pro Hutt Ball player. If there are any opportunities or gather power and allies, I will welcome that."

He looks back at Jo'ren through the holonet. "What are your plans? I can help you out especially if you want to upgrade anything or look something up on the holonet."
