[Alysele Cortess]

A cat like smile spread on her face. "Well, you'll find out, I'm sure." Let's see how Ni reacts to that.

"Oh? Do you think I'm implying something? Like, perhaps, that if one is resourceful, there are avenues to find a proper outlet for nostalgia for one's past... potentially fruitful avenues?"

[Nekoinu]

"Oh I certainly know that. I wouldn't have brought you my offer if I thought it'd only be good for money." She let out a whimsical sigh. "It's not just for our own sakes. Bettering the Jedi could help the Republic finally win this war."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Yeah, that will be useful. Though, who knows, perhaps the Peace Treaty will be successful." Yeah, fat chance.

"Any plans for your trials yet?"

[Nekoinu]

"Getting more power gives us more leverage, doesn't it?" She shrugged. "I doubt the Sith will be able to deny me any better than Republic politicians."

Zuraa let out annoyed groan. "No. Master Mersl always just tells me to be patient."

[Alysele Cortess]

"It does, that is how it usually works." She smirked. "Don't get too headstrong yet. I am sure the Sith will have the necessary resources to aim to get rid of anyone they don't like."

She continued smiling. "Ah yes... I heard that one for a while. Then he got aggravated enough to recognize my worth and allow me forward."

[Nekoinu]

Zuraa scoffed, though this time more amused than annoyed. "I know, I know. Everyone's been telling me that, including good ole' dad."

"Master Mersl keeps saying I'm talented so I just don't get why she's holding me back! I could easily surpass the trials, I'm sure of it." She downed the rest of her glass and then let out a cough due to the burn. "Dammit." A few more coughs.

[Alysele Cortess]

"Supposedly, so you'll learn to be humble. Or something." She understood the Falleen's position. Drinking more of her own liquor, she was pensive. "Let's see how things work out. I may be able to put in a few good words for you, but no promises. Not been around much of the masters lately."

[Nekoinu]

The padawan leaned back. "When'd we start talking about my personal life so much?" She looked over to the bottle and then rolled her eyes. "Right. Liquor does that." She closed her eyes and then nodded along. "I don't blame you. Most of the masters have their own weird quirks. And then they call us the bizarre ones. It's pretty ridiculous."

[Alysele Cortess]

"When we realized my life story is hilariously boring." She placed her empty glass down. "Think of it this way... if you're quirky as an apprentice, you're not going to get better after you graduate. Being a knight... it's a different experience."

She frowned, and patted her saber. "They say they train you.... but you only get the basics."

[Nekoinu]

"You're a noblewoman and you've been across the galaxy fighting the Sith. How can your life be boring?"

Zuraa raised her brow. "Really? I'm pretty sure Master Mersl is trying to make sure I memorize every single bit about being a Jedi."

[Alysele Cortess]

"so, how will you utilize that knowledge when you're in the galaxy?" She let out a soft laugh. "Well, it sure feels that way, but it's good to know there's someone who likes what I'm doing."

[Nekoinu]

"Patience, serenity, all of that crap that Master Mersl keeps repeating." Zuraa shook her head. "You really should meet her. She's really, really weird." Her lips curled upward though her words were gentle and genuine. "You're out there doing good work, Lady Cortess. I don't think anyone should be judging you for anything. And if they do, then well, you have a lightsaber!"

[Alysele Cortess]

Se smirked. She knew that story all too well.

"I'll see if I get the time. I'm curious now." She glanced down at the saber. "Unfortunately, at least some of the people judging me have on as well."

[Nekoinu]

"She's friendly, at the very least. And I think she's judging everyone all the time but she's not the sort to say it to your face." Zuraa shrugged. "Well, at least some of them are Sith and you can fight them over it."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Ah, the silently judgy type. Good to know." She smirked with bitter humor. "Yeah, some Sith judge. A few... are looking forward to a good fight. Well, until they lose."

[Nekoinu]

"She's always thinking she knows best in any situation. And then if I get mad at her for it, she takes the high ground and manages to keep a straight face." The padawan crossed her arms. "If it weren't for her damn lack of eyes it'd be easier to read her."

Zuraa pursed her lips. "How many Sith have you fought anyway?"

[Alysele Cortess]

A soft laugh echoed from her pretty lips. "Yeah, I can see that. I had a miraluka classmate... it was eeire talking to him, sometimes."

She raised her left finger, holding up 5 fingers. "Five of them... though two of them at once. Our intelligence missed that the other attendee at the meeting was another apprentice. It was a tough fight... I might still have some scars."

[Nekoinu]

"They're super attuned to the Force, I think." She shrugged. "Lyshea is always talking about omens and whatnot."

Zuraa's eyes lit up. "That must have been difficult." Her expression then turned devious. "And now I want to see those scars."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Yeah.... sounds like they know it all." Said the girl with the know it all attitude. She rolled her eyes. "Sorry, not going to start stripping for you. We're supposed to be arriving soon."

[Nekoinu]

The padawan gave a laugh. "You're lucky you have an excuse. Or maybe that Jedi training is good for something."

[Alysele Cortess]

Her white skin turned deep red. "Jedi training." Was the surely convincing answer.

"Thank you for your time. I'll keep in touch. And the scotch." Her voice was hurried. Today was an awkward day.

[Nekoinu]

"Aren't I supposed to be the impressionable one?" she asked with a smirk.

Zuraa nodded and closed up the bottle. "Yeah, you're welcome. Try not to get so flustered next time, alright? We're supposed to be well-composed or something, right?"

[Alysele Cortess]

Trying to recover, she decided to take it in stride. "I'm composed." Yeah, right.

"Talk later." As she turned away, the tip of her ears were still red.

[Nekoinu]

"Yup. See you later, Lady Cortess." She leaned back in her chair and then blinked. "Do I need to be like one of those noblemen and open the door for you?"

[Alysele Cortess]

"No need. See you later." She turned around, her back to the Falleen, as she beeped the door open and left.
