Eye of the Needle (D0, The Saarai-kaar)

"Hm, perhaps. Will let you know after we hit planetside, as I get caught up with my people there and the situation on Nar Shaddaa. I fully intend to seize opportunities I come across, especially early on, that might give us a leverage for this summit."

A part of her really hated this part of space-travel; being unable to act with full capacity, and having to wait.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded. "Let me know."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Work hard, party harder," she shot him a wink. "Been a lot of long nights and days with Vowrawn... you've no idea how often I've stripped right out of armor and straight into evening wear, only to go right out again before the sun's even up."

And then sometimes the party had been bloodier than the actual battles. Still, most of it was reconnaissance: assessing potential enemies, learning of potential plots, spotting connections hiding in public...

[Sylvain Torsin]

He smiled, "It sounds like you've found a good place for you to be then. Hopefully your indomitable spirit for entertainment hasn't been too exhausted. I hear Nar Shaddaa has plenty of places to have some fun."

"It will take more than that to break me," she smiled confidently. Nathema might be the closest to come to it so far, she thought briefly, but it hadn't broken her yet... merely left her temporarily uncertain of where to turn with this newfound knowledge.

"By the way, how is your mother doing?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

He tilted his head, "Well enough given what she went through. I was able to spend some time with her in the early months, but she's been on a humanitarian mission to the Outer Rim for quite some time and we haven't spoken. I'm sure she's fine and doing good work bringing more systems to the truth that the Empire is not the boogeymen that the Republic says we are."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha cocked her head. "Is that so? Huh, had expected her to stay on Dromund Kaas for a little longer... Outer Rim doesn't sound like her place, but I guess we all play our parts. That sort of stuff is more her kind of work."

"Good to hear she's doing better, after all that happened with you father, and Kris' family..."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded and smiled, "There is no excuse for wasting time in House Torsin my dear sister. She is part of the reason I have such confidence that peace serves our interests. It is people like her that will bring systems into our Empire without the loss of valuable lives and military resources."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Yeah, I know," she nodded, but there was something in her voice that didn't seem wholly convinced... or perhaps not trusting the concept of peace with the Republic. "Make her proud here, Syl. You're some of the best we have for this sort of thing."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "I intend to. I will serve to the best of my abilities, as I always have."

He smiled, "Keep your eyes and ears out for me dear sister. I will do the same."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Of course," she nodded with a warm smile. "See you planetside. Either for a sightseeing or for a meeting with a pretentious kor'slug."

Shaisha gave a small wave and moved to end the call.

He smiled, "I hope you're not referring to me."

He chuckled and waved goodbye. "See you tomorrow then."
