Yslane Tssilla wrote:"The Order existed during the Sith's exile. Conflict clouds are vision now because it must." Yslane took Alys hand, "The Jedi fight because we must, because not everyone wishes for peace or can be made to see reason. The Sith fight because that is what they are. The strong survive and the weak die. To pity the weak is to be weak yourself. Others exist only as stepping stones to power." She squeezes gently, "That is not the Jedi way. Were the Sith see slaves for building monuments, we see friends for building houses. Were the Sith see pawns whose blood is to be spent for their schemes, we see the brave masses who wish only to live in peace...but will take up arms to secure it for the children."
"You have been involved in the fighting more then I have...been subjected to the stresses, seen our Order at its worse....but remember when you look at the destruction, the brutality....that is the Sith at their best."
A warm smile spread across Aly's face, and she squeezed Ys' hand in response. "Perhaps.... perhaps you are right. History hasn't been my strong suit." Her early distaste of her order lead to a long gap while she caught up on some aspects of Jedi education. "You always see the best in others, just not yourself."
She removed her hand gently to raise it upward and squeeze the other girl's shoulder. "It is an ugly sight... though unfortunately, the Jedi might be good, but other arms of the Republic can stoop low as well." Her eyes darkened. "Perhaps that is also something we ought to pay attention to."
