With the business of attempts on her life behind her, Layne went to work. Might as well take care of this 'Reek' fellow first after all, given he was supposed to be found rat the port itself. Maybe he could provide her with some answers. Although it was not an interrogation she was looking forward to. Her jawanese was rather rusty.

[Dapper Dog]

It seems a group of jawas have taken over a port and turned into a makeshift bazaar of goods. Mechanical pieces were everywhere and several jawas hurried about seeing to customers.

Upon spying the Sith two jawas approach and begin speaking quickly in their language. She was pretty sure both of them were trying to sell her either a sandwich maker or a blaster pistol parts and one kept trying to offer her a droid head.

She already had a headache. Or an existing one was getting worse, it was hard to tell.

"Maybe later. I'm looking for Reek."

[Dapper Dog]

The Jawas finally get the hint and then wave over another jawa and he says in their tongue, "You looking for hydro-spoon?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"You could say that. A very specific hydro-spoon, called Timu Vosk."

She considered whether or Jawa knew loyalty. Or bravery.

[Dapper Dog]

“O… ooooooooooh it’s you. This way, step into my office,” he guides her over to his tent and starts rummaging through junk.

“So you have my credits? I was promised 200 credits for this information.”

[Layne Hoshin]

She followed the little sentient, not charmed by the aesthetics of his 'office' environment. And even less so by his attempt to extract money out of the exchange.

"Not by me, you were. Take it up with my master."

[Dapper Dog]

"Well maybe... I forget," he says as he starts to tinker with a droid foot.

[Layne Hoshin]

"And maybe my hand'll slip," she said, making a show of putting said hand on her lightsaber.

Reek sighs and says, “Well… okay fine, fine… the one you are looking for will be at the Arena tomorrow night, but the data your master needs is back in his apartment. I got a key. It’s yours.”

He then turns around and looks at her lightsaber, “Ooooh… shiny, can I see it?”

OOC: Advantage can be used to have Reek repair the Lightsaber if she wants, the Despair… will be tucked away for later.

She was highly skeptical at the idea of letting the Jawa look at the lightsaber, even if he could potentially fix it...

..."if you break it any further I *will* kill you. So be very careful."

Reek takes the lightsaber and then looks down the part where the light blade comes out before he sets it down on his work table and gets to work. After maybe twenty minutes of work he holds it back up and says, “Shiny… new... new you no kill me yes?”

"Not right now, at least. Let's hope your repairs are permanent.

"Back to the other business. This apartment you gave me the key for... you know how often he goes there? What kind of security it has?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Oh some droids… easy easy for Sith. I do Security work too, you want security? Five thousand credits, make you secure. Safe… safe,” he says.

"Do I look like I have 5000 credits?"

Well, maybe she did, to a Jawa.

"So, just the droids huh? Battle models? What are we talking, light trooper types or destroyers? What about the data? I'm not a slicer. Does he keep it backed up on some physical format I can just grab?"

I didn't even know there was data involved....

The jawa shrugs and says, “Put it in after I did my work, so droids… probably big boomies, pew pew! Data should be on data chit stored in safe behind picture… picture of himself, big painting. Cut open with light saber vwoom vwoom.”

"Right. Any silent alarms?"

I could break in today... but then, would he go to ground? Would I miss my window?

"Does he have any other boltholes on the planet?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Maybe?" the Jawa says as he starts tinkering on something else.

[Layne Hoshin]

She snapped her fingers.

"Focus please. Could you set up a meeting with him? The arena is a bit too crowded."

[Dapper Dog]

Reek turns and says, “Oh I don’t know him, know him. Just have information and now you have information, done done.”

“Want a hydro-spoon?”

[Layne Hoshin]

She sighed. "I don't even know what a hydro-spoon is."

[Dapper Dog]

“Oh it’s good,” he holds it out for you. It’s a fancy spoon.

“Fifty credits, last forever.”

"Uh... no thanks. But I'll keep you in mind if I need parts or repairs or something. Can you get specialty stuff?"
