Hutt Ballers! Assemble! [D1 EE]

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington changes in the locker room and then goes off to meet with the rest of the team. This is certainly going to be a very interesting day. He takes out his commlink and sends a message as he walks.

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr had arrived quite early after her previous meeting. Both curious and nervous

[Craw Toboga]

Craw too was early, more for curiosity than anything. Out of his armor, he was leaning on a wall looking at the court a curious and cocky grin on his face.

[Niall Organa]

Niall wasn't early. Fortunately, it didn't seem as though most of the rest of the team was, either. He ran out from the locker room, dressed in his huttball uniform. He caught up to Remmington, giving him a silent nod as he did so.

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington gives a nod to the others. "Thank you for all coming today. I met most of you already but I'm Remmington Thalalas. Welcome to team Valkryie. If you have any questions, feel free to ask while we wait for the others to arrive." He says with a pleasant smile.

[Niall Organa]

Niall nodded to the other two players present, giving them a ghost of a smile. "Niall Organa. It's a pleasure to meet you. And I'm very much looking forward to being a part of this team."

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren strolled over to the group after spotting Rem. His own large frame stood out as he wandered amongst the players.

"Yo Rem. Good to see you my friend.". His gaze moved across the others. The pink Twilek seemed vaguely familiar but he couldn't place her. Craw looked handy in a fight and received a nod. "So, this is what you came up with?"

He winked at the others. "Anyone actually played before?"

[Craw Toboga]

Craw clears his throat and talks, in an overconfident tone. "Well I've played my share of games where you throw balls. And I beat people up for a living so..." He shrugs.

[Niall Organa]

"Niall Organa." Niall said to the newcomer, his tone a little dry. "And no, I haven't played Huttball before. Grav-ball, though, and there's just a few differences."

His lips twisted as Craw spoke. "That's the big one, of course. Beating people up was against the rules. Which mainly meant that one had to be subtle about it."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I've watched my fair share of games, living here for as long as I have" Aphr commented, giving her teammates a smile "I am Aphr. It's good to meet you all."

[Craw Toboga]

Craw chuckles. "Man, I don't know how I could stand something like that. I don't really do subtle."

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla was there and already dressed.

"I used to play when Kidaja would let me. It's a lot of fun."

[Jo'ren Rath]

The big Sith shrugged. "Hey, any game where it's fine to beat up the opposition sounds like fun. Guess I'll try not to be cocky until we've given it a shot and I've learned the rules. Name's Jo'ren."

He reached into his possessions and pulled out a credit chip. "Let's see if we match my expectations. Hey Rem, what's the team name? Might as well out a few creds on victory."

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla smiles. "I think we're going to get along well together. I"m Ashla Vyliis."

[Arsele Girard]

Arsele, on the other hand, was not yet dressed it seemed; She stood in the doorway, arms crossed, in a blue dress.

"The Valkyries is what I believe Mister Thalalas came up with, since you ask."

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren looked the newcomer up and down and smiled. "Valkyries huh? Goes with his ship I suppose. You part of this team too then?"

He walked over to the betting area and placed a 100 credit bet on the Valkyries to win their inaugural match.

Returning to the team he shrugged and began to stretch off. "Anyone know who we're playing?"

[Niall Organa]

Niall mentally adjusted his attitude. And his expectations.

He nodded his head at the big Sith, smiling. "Don't kick the ball. Pretty much anything else goes, including kicking the other team. I think you're going to do just fine."

Spotting Arsele, Niall just shook his head again, grinning. He still hadn't quite gotten over seeing her.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Do I have the wrong uniform? While I would certainly like to see the boys in a blue dress like that, it might make playing difficult" Aphr commented with a smile as she looked up at the women in the doorway.

[Arsele Girard]

"Hmmm... I thought I was only here tonight as backup," she waves a hand at those assembled, "There do seem to be six of you after all."

[Craw Toboga]

Craw's grin widens as he speaks. "I prefer fists as opposed to feet myself." He chuckles. "But yeah, I'm sure this'll go fine."
He looks at the new woman with interest when he notices her, and nods in greeting.

[Niall Organa]

"Do I have the wrong uniform? While I would certainly like to see the boys in a blue dress like that, it might make playing difficult" Aphr commented with a smile as she looked up at the women in the doorway.

"I'd be surprised if they had one in my size. Or his." Niall murmured as an aside, nodding at Jo'ren.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Hmmm... I thought I was only here tonight as backup," she waves a hand at those assembled, "There do seem to be six of you after all."

"Just think of the crowds reaction though" Aphr said with a chuckle.

"I'd be surprised if they had one in my size. Or his." Niall murmured as an aside, nodding at Jo'ren.

"Hm...I think it could be found" she looked to Arsele, then back to Niall "but you are likely right for the moment."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"So what's the deal? How do we get this show on the road? Guess we should talk strategy first." He looked over at Rem to see if their inspirational Team Captain had anything to say.

[Craw Toboga]

Craw shrugs. "My idea was mainly just to beat the shit out of everyone not a part of our team."

[Niall Organa]

"There's a bit more to it than that." Niall said dryly. "From what I've seen, it's not really viable to beat up all of them; they'll have some bruisers of their own, and you win by scoring, after all. You have to beat up the right people, and keep them from beating up ours."

Niall's chin lifted. "When I played grav-ball, I'd keep an eye on the field, call out where help was needed, that sort of thing. I suppose I do the same thing in the military, too. I think the same principles apply." He smiled. "If you get tired of hearing my voice, just wait until after the game to take it out on me, if you could."
