Or if you have a seperate talent that regens a strain once each scene?

There is no way currently. I put a suggestion in the orokos suggestion box earlier this month. But I imagine that if multiple people put the same one in it's more likely to get noticed.

"Certain powers and abilities allow you to add automatic failure, successes, advantage, and/or threat to rolls.

I would suggest adding codes for Edge of the Empire dice to add such in:

+XaS - Adds a number of successes equal to X
+XaF - Adds a number of failures equal to X
+XaA - Adds an amount of advantage equal to X
+XaT - Adds an amount of threat equal to X"

Makashi talent:

Duelist Talent: When engaged with only one opponent, gain 1 Boost die.

Engaged only with one opponent means being in melee combat? Or if I'm being shot at by 3 different guys, does that mean I'm engaged with all 3 of them?

I think the intention is 1v1 combat, and Engaged with them (so yes, in melee)?

Engaged is a range band, it is the closest range band for melee combat. Next is Short, then Medium, Long, and then Extreme.

People have to enter Engaged range, if one person is Engaged with you the bonus applies. If others are at Short range shooting at you it applies, if they all dog pile into Engaged with you it does not. I try to note in combat threads where people are, so you should know who is at what range band.

Could we have a place for the wonderful fictions Nekoinu posted on Dark Edge Village, as well as the approved epilogues from Korriban? :)

So, if I take the full 20 obligation, that first 5 being at no benefit, can the next 10 get me the 10 XP and the last 5 get me the 1000 credits?

Are there any other choices for ships other than the Republic Freighter?

Could you then take both 10 obligation for 10XP and 5 obligation for 5XP, or double stack on credits similarly instead?

At this time no, but who knows in the future is there something specific you are looking for? My goal with the ship was both something sturdy but also capable of role play opportunities.

Keep in mind it can come in a variety of configurations, just using the basic stats to keep things comparable. Kind of like a basic commuter car, there are a variety of models and designs but the performance does not vastly change really.

If you wanted sure. You can only take an option once, so yeah as long as you pick different kinds sure up to 20.

A force sensitive gets bonuses to mechanics checks on their own lightsaber (specifically the -2 difficulty). Do they keep this bonus if they get assistance? If I help, say, Samaya mod her saber, can she use my Intellect? Or at least a boost die?

To get the bonus they have to do the modifications themselves no helping we had that issue last game, lightsabers are a personal thing.

Obligation

Due to the fact that Obligation is bit modified for this game, think it is best we keep it simple so you can take the option for XP or credits but only one once for new players so say you go for 20 Obligation you can do either the 10 option for XP or the 5 option and then you can do either the 10 or 5 option for credits as long as it is less than 20.

There you go.

I'll have to read up on the rules for Obligation and ships/vehicles.

Though question, since there will be HuttBall. Will betting be allowed? May we gamble? May we bet on ourselves and/or the other team if we choose to play?

You can bet on Huttball and you can bet on yourself if you wanted, rules will go up soon and be pretty straightforward.

I know a separate kitchen isn't listed in the republic compound, but is a basic cooking area integrated into the living area, or a shared kitchen for the floor a resident would have access to?

Also, would a member of the Jedi order be permitted to stay in the Republic compound? Particularly a washout more involved in worldly trade, humanitarian, and agricultural concerns in the Republic at large than meditating in a tower and cutting people with laser swords?

Jedi can choose to live in either space.

A modest small kitchen can be part of the Republic and Imperial residences, basically a place to keep food cold, small pantry, and a place to cook. Nothing super fancy.

I was personally hoping for something smaller, nippier, more private; Sacrifice weapons and passenger capacity for things like speed and sensors and not needing crew beyond a pilot. Like the scout ship from EoE.

Somewhere a thief/scoundrel could hide her Hidden Storage compartments without having to worry about having to hide them from shipmates or passengers too.

Since kitchens are being brought up...

What traits/skills might be involved if one were to make a roll for cooking?

I can see about adding a scout like ship for a solo person.

As for cooking, probably Intellect roll. Unless it is something important I will leave it to players to decide if they are good or bad or passable cooks.

I was planning on treating it as a Charm roll, for preparation and presentation of the meal as a whole, if that seems reasonable?

Just a small question about ships.

Our lovely freighters have a passenger capacity of 6. Is this in addition to crew?

Also as far as droids are concerned, are they counted in this number?

Droids count as crew, the capacity is the number of people that can be on the ship "comfortably" this number includes the crew to fly it. You can fit more, but quality of life degrades pretty quickly.
