Having got off air, Darwi was sitting back at the first floor of the Wonderland Studio, her attention plugged to the holonet. The listeners' reactions to her program were lukewarm. Not what she expected, frankly. Something went wrong.

[Zanebry Varliss]

It wasn't too long before the Twi'lek woman got a flash on the Radio Stations communicator. Perhaps a call in request? That was the likeliest explanation at least.

[Moyr Ahaya]

It felt great to have a... fan? Darwi plugged in immediately to have it on her headset.

"Darwi here. Who do I have the pleasure with?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Oh." There was a faint surprise in the tone of the voice that came through the line. "This is Zan here over at Solmillo's, I hope you don't mind if I take a bit of time from you and your sweet vocals, but we have a bit on a conundrum."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Oh? What's the matter? How can I help?" The melodic voice responded as Darwi nestled in her chair, pulling legs up.

[Zanebry Varliss]

The smooth baritone of the man on the other line conveyed the needs of his establishment as quickly and simply as he could. "Well, the band for tonight canceled. Something about their singer up and disappearing, we've been trying to find a replacement, but it's short notice. We were wondering if we could put you on the air here, have our guests make requests."

"It might mean you are on the line with me for more then a little while though."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Sounds exciting. We could do that." Darwi laughed. "In what repertoire?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Jizz is what we usually play around here, but I wasn't going to make the patrons request just that."

"I'm also open to suggestions from you, just keep it danceable."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Ok, plug me in and tell me how the room behave after this. I am uploading the notes for the musicians..." She set it up, then began a capella to the mic at her headset, expecting the instruments to join at some point.

This wasn't what he was expecting at all... Hadn't he called a radio station? Still there was no stopping things now, muttering a curse under his breath, he began setting things in motion as he moved over to the stage, picking up an instrument of his own as he pulled the music up in front of him.

He'd play with her, through the majority of the song though as the band picked up things near then end he'd let his own instrument fall silent, fetching his comm and moving towards the bar again.

"That was great Darwi, and sorry about things on our end. We weren't quite ready when you started."

"Ah, that was wild and exciting! Thank you, Zane, you caught up great. I'll give you and the boys more time this time, but I'd like to play with you more, if you agree? Let's put a recorded piece on as you browse the notes?"

She set it all up, and triggered it on once she got the confirmation.

There was a smile in his tone as he replied, it had been quite a bit of fun. "I'm not on the roster to play tonight, but I can't refuse when a woman with such a sweet voice asks me for another song."

"That sounds good, what did you have in mind this time?"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Something you could add your baritone to, since you're already on board." She laughed happily to the comm.

She then let him hear her pre-recorded version.

"I can't say im the best singer in the city, but I'll do what I can." He replied easily as he began looking over the Lyrics.

There was a few moments of quiet singing as he tried to get a handle of the notes and tempo. "Whenever you are ready Darwi, I think I've got a handle on it."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"My pleasure, Zane. Let's rock your bar." She smiled, closed her eyes and channeled some of her feral nature to pour into her performance. It was bringing back memories, sure. But singing it casually, inconsequentially, and with a man who was nice and whose voice was nice was exhilarating, cleansing. Her mouth had been occupied by what forestalled the healing for too long. This was real.

Zane, was unaware of what healing factors the song might have, probably a by product of never actually meeting the woman he was singing with. Still he tried to match her intensity with his own, as they wove the song together. Though more and more he was getting the urge to actually do this again in person.

That took a lot of energy, on many levels. She felt drained when she was done, but in a good way. "That was something, Zane, we need to do it from same place at some point. I think I need a drink before I can continue. Did your audience like it?" She said after letting a recorded song play for the intermission.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"We could likely set something up." He said with a chuckle. "At the very least we could meet for drinks and discuss it."

"The audience loved it Darwi, I'm pretty sure they had resigned themselves to the radio before you decided to sing yourself."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"I owe you a round of something good for joining me in singing." She smirked, curling the legs to the side and swirling on the chair. "That's great to hear! Shall we give them one more?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"And here I was going to say the first round was on me." He took a sip of his whiskey and water. "I'm game for another if you are Darwi. Did you have something in mind?"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Several. Depends on your mood, and of your audience. Something about love, about a lost love, about a lost life? I guess quite a few around there carry a sad story bottled up in them that needs to be told by someone else. Or nothing too noir, but something hopeful and jolly? Your call, Zane. I am full of songs." She giggled, proceeding with some radio fill as they chatted.

[Zanebry Varliss]

He chuckled Long with her. "Apparently so my dear." He said pausing thoughtfully. "Nothing too jolly I would think, maybe one about love, or a lost love?"

"Would I be singing along again this time? It may make it easier to decide."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"And which one you'd prefer?" She added a little of tease to her voice.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Well both would let me hear that enchanting voice of yours, and I did enjoy our song together."

"If you have one about lost love or heartbreak that requires a duet, let's go with that."

His tone turned a bit teasing. "It will help prepare me for our first meeting."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"So I am supposed to break your heart this soon? Thanks for the advance note, I'll do my best then." She laughed, her voice becoming deeper and more sinister for just a moment, before it returned it's mellow, enthusiastic qualities. "I'll give you two to pick from. Uploading." And she did, #1 and #2.
