Golden Opportunities (Day 1 Mid-Afternoon, expecting)

As the drinks arrived, Arsele noticed Zanebry looked a little more pale than normal.

Maybe his smoking has picked up lately?

No sense asking about it though, "Afternoons are easier, evenings are busier, and nights are more exciting; I think you can guess which of those appeal to me, no?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

Perhaps,but he certainly wasn't smoking at the moment, that might be due to his choice of restaurants though. She might notice, if she was really observant that his suit didn't look like it had been worn for very long, perhaps a change of clothes?

"You have never been the type for anything dull, so I'd wager you would prefer the night." He said with a easy smile. "Well, at least that's my favorite time."

Her smile brightened, "Mhmmm... spot on sweety. Though evening is tempting too since the tips tend to be better."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I try my best to remember your preferences beautiful." Reaching down to the glass of wine he picked it up and took a slow sip, whiskey would be more fortifying but this would do.

"It's harder to find a good place in the evening's though, so playing later usually ends up just as lucrative, well if you can get a better location." His lips curled into a smirk. "I also find it a bit sexier of a time to play."

That got a chuckle, "I suppose that is true as well; There are some things that are just easier to do after the evening wears on and the lightweights have gone home and everyone else is full of the spirits."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Yes, though getting you to join me for drinks after work isn't one of those." He could almost always find a woman who would though, if he wished for it.

He shook his head to dismiss those thoughts as he pushed forward the conversation. "Shall we agree on the night though?"

"Well... what about tomorrow night?"

That seemed free enough for herself.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I can work with that." Z replied after a moment, it shouldn't interrupt too much with his job.

*Do you have a venue in mind? Or should I look to see what I can find?" He figured she did, with that much short notice, no harm in asking though.

[Arsele Girard]

"Well, I thought that was going to be your job; I had mentioned the Viper, but you'd ruled that out."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"You're right, and I suppose we can do the Viper. It's not my favorite place but I need to at least stop by."

"The Mandolorians at least tend to tip well, st least when they are well into their drinks."

[Arsele Girard]

"You... didn't have any other place in mind then? I kinda thought you would."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Oh, there is always Solmillo's." He offered with a smile. "A new place as well owned by a old Muun by the name of Tarlor Hill. It has a bit of a funny name. He calls it 'The Hollow' it has excellent cocktails, its on the smaller side though."

[Arsele Girard]

"And both have openings for live music?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Both have stages, and I can work something out for either one." Favors were a common currency down here after all.

"Did you have a preference?"

[Arsele Girard]

"Well, as much as I want to see the new place, small ain't good. Sol's is nice enough; And it feels like ages since I sang there."

Truthfully it'd only been a month or so, but a lot had happened since then.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Sol's it is then; perhaps we can go by The Hollow sometime for drinks instead?" The conversation paused as their meals arrived the waitstaff quickly putting the salads before the pair, before stepping away.

[Arsele Girard]

"More drinks hm?" Arsele said with a giggling chuckle, "Is that about seeing the new place, the drinks, or something else?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Something else of course." He offered with a smirk. "Drinks and seeing the place are all well and good, but that's neither are the reason why I invited you."

He picked up his glass of wine and took a small sip. "Care to take a guess at the reason?" He asked playfully.

Arsele leaned forward, chin on the back of her hands, voice lowered softly, "Because I'm the most stunning woman on this Force-forsaken moon that hasn't directly turned you down?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

He leaned forward letting his hand come up to his chin a sly smile on his lips. "I was going to say, it was because you're the only woman on this force-forsaken moon, that's nearly as charming as me."

"But... What you said works too."

[Arsele Girard]

"Nearly, hm?"

Arsele sat back, picking up her fork to start eating, "...well, I suppose I never did find a nice enough hat."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"A good thing too, if you did I'd never have chance." Seeing her pick up her fork, he moved to take off his glove, setting them aside before picking up his own utensils. His carried a few scars if she cared to look, they were older and fading though.

"Even without one though, you still have me beat in the looks department."

[Arsele Girard]

"Well good; I think I'm supposed to be the eye candy in the act. Not to knock my singing voice."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"That does turn head as well." He smiled and paused a moment to take a bite of his meal.

"Seriously though, I do enjoy your company, and our little chats together." He tone turned teasing. "You also keep my ego from growing to big, something I should probably thank you for."

[Arsele Girard]

That got a chuckle between bites, "Who's giving you a big one, customers? Or those people you were travelling here with or something?"
