[Dapper Dog]

"I would hope so," she says with a heavy sigh.

"This is your mother."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain nodded once, glad that his suspicions had been confirmed.

[Kristal Serasai]

"I.." she paused, more than a little stunned by the revelation honestly. "I had not expected to.. you have been here?"

[Dapper Dog]

"We can't talk here," she starts walking tucking away the data chit.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain begins to follow the woman if allowed a couple of steps behind Kris.

[Kristal Serasai]

"I have somewhere safe," she offered, but followed the mood of keeping things on an as needed basis. Glancing to Sylvain to see what he made of this, only to see he was ready and willing to tag along if that was how things went. Kristal certainly didn't find the idea, of speaking with her mother immediately, unwelcome.

[Dapper Dog]

She guides them to a ship in another part of the port, it's a junker from the outside. Operational but junk. It opens and she walks on waiting at the top for them to follow.

[Kristal Serasai]

Kristal, now knowing it was her mother, found herself seeking more than just some time but a great deal of questions were now floating and needed answers. From her mother, from Sylvain, probably even quite a few from herself.

[Dapper Dog]

Inside it was bit more orderly but still old with many spare parts lying around. The entrance closes and she removes her helmet and says, “I almost shot you Torsin… I should have shot you after what your family has done to mine.”

A lanky red furred wookiee growls and Kristal’s mother responds, “Yes we have guests, and yes you can set out more plates.”

She then looks at Kristal and says, “Your hair is longer.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain looked surprised at that comment, "What my family has done? I am sorry... I am not sure what you are referring to. We have been close friends... my father considered your husband to be his closest friend. And I am devoted to do whatever I can to restore your name and the name of your husband."

[Kristal Serasai]

There was a look of confusion on Kristal's face as well, but Sylvain had spoken the words perfectly to that regard. The wookie garnered some attention, having Tendash in her company if not right now but that was of little importance right now.

The comment of her hair brought up a small, reserved, chuckle.

"How have the Torsin's wronged our Family?" she asked, focusing attention on what her mother knew or thought.

“Baras was pulling the strings,” she says as she starts walking down the narrow hall away from them.

“I don’t have all the evidence but it fits, I burned a lot of contacts. Plus your mother tried to kill me, and yes Kris I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to worry but it was her. She’s a bleeding Sith, for all I know Torsin here has been playing both sides from the beginning.”

“He and Baras probably have some grand plan, I just don’t understand where Kris fits but so help me I will shoot you dead in your face before that happens.”

She fumes and takes a seat in a central room. She puts the disruptor rifle across her lap and places a modified blaster on the table.

“So here we are,” she finally says after her rant.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain displayed obvious surprise at the revelations that flowed from the Lady of House Serasai.

"My mother...? Raven Torsin... is Magpie?" He looked astonished.

He shook his head, "That's... outlandish..."

He sat down as his eyes probed back and forth on the floor of the ship. "I swear to you... on my life and honor... I know nothing of this. I sent my operative to help protect you when he learned that you were in danger... He gave his life to protect you from this 'Magpie'. I can only assume you got a hold of his personal data from his corpse or something if you were looking for that chip..."

Each word flowed out in a stream of sincerity mixed with confusion. "I wish to kill Baras for what he has done to my father and Kris'... I have devoted myself to protect Kris at all costs for as long as I live... I am fully devoted to her safety, success, and happiness."

He turned to look at Kris, "Even if she were never to reciprocate the same level of devotion."

He then turned back to her mother, "Kris has never been a part of any game that I have played or will ever play... I live to serve her and the Empire we both cherish."

[Kristal Serasai]

It wasn't a waiting game, no, not exactly. Kristal remained where she was and thought long and hard about everything that was just aired into the open. Looking from Sylvain to her mother it was clear to Arlena that her daughter still trusted Sylvain in this regard. Instead of adding words or thoughts into the mix Kristal seemed to only seek what her mother made of this. If her mother believed Sylvain, if she still had reason to distrust him.

That it was Sylvain's mother who had attacked her own, that had clearly been a surprise as well.

Sylvain spoke from the heart, not uttering a word of deceit, but it appeared to have little affect on the older woman.

She trusts Sylvain, not at all, but her daughter seems to trust him so she says, “Fine, I won’t kill you, Torsin. But if you are lying and you and your crazy Sith Mother are working together I will put a bolt between these bloody eyes.”

“Two for your mother just to be certain, maybe a third for good measure, so don’t push me. As far as I am concerned you are the problem but as long as Kris vouches for you, you have nothing to fear from me. I am keeping the data chit, though, for now,” she finishes.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He tilts his head, "Would you like the other two-thirds of the data as well? I have perused what I could... but you may have them as well if it will help your efforts. I will not ask for the one you possess, because I see that you do not trust me. And frankly, Kris may not fully trust me either anymore... We actually haven't had time to discuss much yet. I can see why you would be apprehensive. But I hope you will at least provide me an opportunity to prove myself. My devotion to your cause and your daughter is true."

He pulls the other two chips from his cloak and extends them to Kristal's mother.

[Dapper Dog]

"Put them on the table," she says.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He does as instructed and returns back to his chair.

[Kristal Serasai]

While the conversation centered in around her she couldn't help but find herself glancing down to her left hand, gloved as it was, and just drifting from the conversation for only a moment. Before any of the others had time to look to her instead of each other as Sylvain stated his intentions she had looked back to them both. It wasn't trust, but her mother wasn't easily swayed.. neither was she in fact. It was possibly a Serasai thing.

"What is on the chips?" she asked the obvious question that seemed like everyone else had an idea about.

[Dapper Dog]

Arlena looks to Sylvain to answer that question.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"The findings of my father's Zabrak operative that you became familiar with while we were on Korriban. The man I sent to protect your family... who my mother apparently killed at Baras' request..." He paused it all seemed so surreal, "He hid his findings here on Nar Shaddaa in case anything happened to him."

[Kristal Serasai]

Kristal looked then to her mother, she wasn't going to force her so openly by saying something but it was clear by the way that she looked at her mother how the younger Serasai was expecting her mother to reveal the fate of the Zabrak.

Sylvain followed the non-verbal exchange with his eyes with confusion.
