Totally Good Idea (D2 MN)

Ashla arrived alone as instructed. However, the promise of credits and interesting things has brought her out.

[Dapper Dog]

The place is packed, but it is always packed. The music is loud and the air is filled with frantic energy, for a Force Sensitive it can almost be overwhelming to shut it out. It is intense and hard to maneuver through the crowd.

Ashla rubs her monorails, eventually, she gets a table to herself and waits.

[Dapper Dog]

A female human in a slinky dress takes a seat after about five minutes and says loudly, "Are you waiting for someone?"

Ashla nods. "Yes."

[Dapper Dog]

She says, “What?”

[Ashla Vyliis]

So, Ashla says it louder. "Yes. I am waiting for someone."

[Dapper Dog]

“Oh, okay… yeah head upstairs, like room four,” she says loudly and then returns to the dance floor.

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla nods. "Thanks." She gives the woman a handshake that leaves 5 credits in her palm and walks up to the room. Once there, she knocks on the door.

[Dapper Dog]

The door slides open and it is dark inside, but she can see the silhouette of an armored woman standing inside. An electronic voice says, “Come in, sit down.”

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla comes in and sits down. She takes a pleasant tone. "Thanks for having me."

[Dapper Dog]

“I need a physician for a medical procedure, it will require an invasive operation on the brain, a zabrak brain. From my research it is a bit radical, I have the equipment but I need a trained physician with no scruples that can be discrete,” she says in her modulated voice.

“Survival of the patient is irrelevant if I get what I want.”

She taps her disruptor rifle, “If I feel you have betrayed me, I will kill you. If you leave now, I lose nothing. If you get cold feet after accepting this job, I will kill you. I value my privacy.”

“The job pays 2500 credits. I do not haggle.”

[Ashla Vyliis]

"What sort of surgery is it? When would it be done?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Details if you accept, all I can say is that it is a form of brain surgery,” she replies.

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla thinks for a bit. "Eh. Fuck it. Why not?"

[Dapper Dog]

The armored woman puts a data chit on the table, "This is 200 credits. The rest comes at completion. Meet at the spaceport, Dock 4-C."

"The time will be [Day 3 - LM]. Do not be late."

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla takes the chit. "I won't be." She didn't care about the credits. Well, she did care about the credits. But that wasn't her primary motivation. Surgery fascinated her. Some experimental brain surgery? Well, that was exciting! It did worry her that she could be killed if she failed. And this was probably against the Jedi Code. But.... somethings are too tempting to resist. Besides, she was going to try to keep the patient alive. That's more than many doctors would do. Well, doctors that would take this job at least.

After that, she said her goodbyes and left.

The woman does not stop her from leaving.
