The first full set ended a short while ago and it was now a intermission albeit a short. Emptying his glass of whiskey and water, Zan looked over to Arsele. "Were you wanting another drink beautiful? Or were you alright for the time being?"

Arsele had been drinking seltzer most of the evening since she found it helped her voice. Looking down she saw she still had three glasses full still; If there was one thing a beautiful bar singer never lacked, it was complimentary drinks.

She gave Zane a smile, "I think I'm good, even if it is a bit warm in here under the light."

"I thought as much, but no harm in asking." He smiled warmly, eyes drifting to her legs for a moment, but soon something else caught his attention, and he found himself turning his head, trying to figure out what it was.

Arsele flapped a high heel on her foot in response to his eyes traveling up her legs... but she seemed to notice something off as well.

With the recent insurgent attack, the venue was less occupied than usual operating hours. It made it easy for them to notice a group of men, eight in total, watching them since they had first arrived. They were clean-cut men, unlike the typical dregs, but otherwise it was hard to know who they worked for or anything of the sort.

He nonchalantly rose to his feet stepping over and leaning on the piano next to Arsele, placing a hand behind her back, he reached up to brush any hair away from her ear as he dipped in close to whisper in her ear. It was an intimate gesture, and one he hoped Arsele wasn't two uncomfortable with, but hopefully it wouldn't draw much attenion. "What do you think of those eight over there." Came the quiet question in he rear.

It was at times like this Arsele wished she was a Twi'lek or something; One of those species with secret communication methods. Then maybe she wouldn't have Scruffy McWhiskeybreath in her ear.

Still, Zane had good reason.

Arsele took a drink of seltzer, using to opaque glass to hide her lips and deflect her whisper, "Security of some sort. Not Mandos or guests here for the talks. And no obvious signs. Probably mercs or pirates."

Certainly his breath might smell like whiskey, even watered down he had already had a couple drinks, scruffy was likely uncalled for though. Not that he heard either thought, or else he might have retorted.

"Sounds like as good a guess as any." He mused quietly, hand moving up to adjust his hat and half cover his lips as his eyes moved to scan the room. He turned back to her a playful smile on his lips. "Whoever they are, they don't seem happy to see us though. Ideas?""

At least he wasn't a nerfherder.

"Keep playing for now; No need for a scene. I have a blaster if it comes to that though."

She hoped he had 'backup' too.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Alright... I have a few tricks up my sleeve as well." There was a moments pause.

"Should we slow thing down then? Perhaps try a duet? If you don't mind my rough voice accompanying yours. Make then think that's what we were discussing maybe?"

[Arsele Girard]

"Sounds like a plan."

She nonchalantly took another sip of seltzer as if nothing untoward was happening.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Good." He waved over a bartender and placed his own order for seltzer. His voice could likely use a bit of help as well. Then waving over the band director he asked for another microphone.

The seltzer arrived first and he took a sip to clear the whiskey from his throat. "Somethin' Stupid then?" He asked as he settled back into his seat.

The group remained but they did not make any overt moves. They were partially there to carouse although it was obvious that at least a couple of them kept watching.

Galen walked in and looked around. Seeing Zanebry, he gave the man a nod, before finding himself a seat. He set Navi down on the table, letting the creature stretch a bit, while he ordered a drink for himself.

"Something slow Zane."

Arsele picked up her mic after setting down her glass.

He chuckled and retook his seat. "Somethin' stupid it is then."
Putting his fingers on the keys, he began to play the first notes. A bit of laughter in his eyes as he waited for her to begin singing so he could join her.

Galen leaned back with his whiskey as they began, while Navi climbed onto his shoulder to watch and listen.

Z concentrated on his playing, but tried to keep an discreet eye on the eight men as well, they were up to something here. He just wasn't sure what, either way he knew they would probably try something before too long.

Still the men waited. They were having a good enough time conversing with one another. It was mainly one man keeping an eye on them, Zanebry in particular if he paid enough attention. Others occasionally glanced, though a second man next to the primary observer checked in often.

Arsele had been on Nar Shaddaa long enough to be used to things like this, so she sang on. And even did so in her usual practiced "professionally sultry" sort of way.

They couldn't play forever though, and there came a point where it became evident the men simply weren't going to go away. Still he continued on, and catching Arsele's attention he mouthed a question.

"Should I go see what they want?"

Her lips obviously formed a yes as she bowed for the scattered applause.

Rising to his feet as the songs ended he bowed as well. Trying catch Galen's eyes before moving to approach one of the men. "Is there anything I can help you gentleman with? He asked polietly, from a short distance away.

The one who had been staring the most stated, "Let us take this outside, sir." He remained a good posture, a grim expression, his tone of a military-trained man. His accent Imperial.
