[D3 LA] This Took Too Long

"Sometimes survival is achievement on it's own, depending on the situation you are in. But yes, thriving, victory and progress for the Empire is the ultimate goal. And my actions are towards that ends. And your previous council on that subject is poignant... considering if your actions are for the good of the Empire. I think with two like minded patriots like ourselves we would be able to accomplish much."

[Nekoinu]

Lord Haydriss nodded. "Then we shall begin searching for means to accomplish the goal of strengthening our cause. You must be correct. There must be some artifacts we can scour in this system."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I have some ongoing things I'm working on. One is attempting to locate a lost Hutt treasure ship. The pirate queen of Seven Devils is the driving force behind it. Depending on what's on that ship, there may be things to be gained from her. Contents of the ship itself or locations of ruins they may be privy to. Pirates do like to loot that kind of stuff," he says.

[Nekoinu]

"The pirates," she mused, her expression turning pensive. "Do you plan on sharing this trove with her when you acquire it?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I plan on potentially using it as a means for working with her. She is a relatively powerful personality within Hutt space. That is a resource not to be turned away. And her resources can potentially be bolstered and turned against the Republic if a good relationship is built," he explains.

[Nekoinu]

"Recruitment then. I hope your faith in her is not misplaced." She smirked. "I do not negotiate with pirates."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Oh, I don't have faith in her. But I do have faith in the idea of aiming her at the Republic," he says with a shrug.

[Nekoinu]

"I heard that she met with some delegates from the Republic. What of their standing with her?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"They kept saying stupid things and making her increasingly unhappy with them," he explains. "It was the one that knelt to Darth Xevious."

[Nekoinu]

"Then your plan is already in motion." Her smile grew more warm. "I told you not to underestimate yourself, Lord Zeno."

[Zeno Deathwright]

He nods. "So many things to do, and not enough hours to do them," he says with a chuckle.

[Nekoinu]

"These pirates are an investment. You help them and then they will contribute more to your cause."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"The same could be said of us," he replies. "The more we do for each other the more we contribute to each other's causes."

[Nekoinu]

Haydriss nodded. "Of course. But I recall speaking to you earlier in regards to finding new resources to tap into. This pirate queen is an apt example of such."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"And if there is anything I can do her resources that might be of use I would be happy to share. To do so would be an exchange that doesn't require a deep trust to exist yet, but could potentially help us build to such."

[Nekoinu]

"We shall see. For now, I will search for Force artifacts in the system. There may be a trove great enough to share among many."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Of course. Let me know if you need a hand with anything on that end. Places where they are kept for long times tend to warp the wildlife around them," he responds with a nod.

[Nekoinu]

Lord Haydriss nodded. "I imagine that the fauna will be wrack with corruption if there are any lying about." A pause. "Perhaps a Dark Side cult will possess what we are searching for. There are many possibilities."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Perhaps. Or maybe even just a normal cult that has been swayed by an artifact they don't realize is tied to the dark side," he replies. "Lot's of possibilities."

[Nekoinu]

"There are some presences on this moon, ones who appear to be unaffiliated with the Jedi or the Sith. To turn them to our cause may be profitable. Or perhaps they possess no knowledge worth salvaging."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Interesting. Not something I've heard about. Even if they don't have useful knowledge they could still potentially be turned into a source of problems for our enemies."

[Nekoinu]

"Exactly. Lord Ralnorrei has more talent in coaxing others to the Dark Side. I work best with those who have already aligned to it."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I work best when eliminating those who are aligned with the light," he says with a shrug. "Not much call for that here at this time. But that talent can be applied to anyone really."

[Nekoinu]

"My point was that if you find the opportunity to convert someone then seize it. I am sure you will surprise yourself once more.'

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I'll definitely stay aware," he says with a nod.
